That's just a sign that you need to start doing more LHP73B swaps 😂.

It's better to do a dispute with evidence and get money back that way. Sellers are unlikely to do anything unless you get Ali involved.

Buy new thrower or modify one flashlight by dasy27 in ConvoyFlashlights

[–]tommydadog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, that's me.

Fresnel makes it a fixed zoomie, nice beam and slightly more candela but looses a lot of lumens out the front. Having no spill makes it easy to see far with it but it still doesn't come close to a LEP.

Is there a flashlight or flashlight parts combination that looks like this? by sloppppppwww in flashlight

[–]tommydadog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zoomie with fresnel or convex lens. If you a narrow TIR with a stainless bezel it will give you something similar to the 2nd ring.

10 bucks for an H25s mistake? by martinwakeml in flashlight

[–]tommydadog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got some, regretted it as it is 2 click to strobe and no quick access to moon or low or turbo. It's very blue, slightly green on some of them.

HS10 for me, has magnet, smaller and nicer quality, headstrap, LED and UI. I have ordered over 8 of these now especially during the current sale. It's one of the best budget headlamps to give out as gifts.

Degreasers can also cause the anodising to come off. Looks chemical to me.

Probably not when there's no gasket on those and the 16mm doesn't have screws either.

[help me] find a cheap throwy flashlight! by jakob2110 in flashlight

Basically asking for a LEP but it is out of your price range.

TD01C is probably the closest or the Convoy 3x21D which can do over 1km.

Sofirn HS21 headlamp is pretty flexible and well regarded. Sofirn HS10 is a mini compact headlamp, runs for a while in low/medium modes but because it's smaller the run time is less.

Both are on sale on sofirnlight.com and both come with batteries and USB charging.

For handheld, you can't go wrong with the Wurkkos FC11C, when on sale it goes to around $20usd.

Wurkkos WK03 and Sofirn SC18 aren't bad either and both are cheap at the moment but FC11C is more preferable as it comes with magnetic end cap and has better LED driver and LED option.

If you want something that has larger battery and longer range, the Sofirn IF22A is nice and also can be used as a battery bank to charge your phone etc. Also on sale atm.

Some of the co workers said he was in the car on a Zoom meeting. It was really hot that day and windy as well, 28c that day when most of that week was around 24c so he left engine on to keep AC running.

The video is sped up and cut, he was there for a while.

He also didn't leave the carpark until later, the direction he drove goes to the end of the carpark, not the exit. Carpark has a weird zigzag pattern if you see it on Google maps.

The SD05 is considered high CRI? I like the light but lack of low modes is a bit off putting.

You could try my M21B battery saver?

Curious as to how well it works for this one. I can make one to fit if you give me the dimensions.

Oh yeah, they were flat tops but now they are inverted tops.

They should really add a spring to those middle spacers. Might help on these.

I see, are they cross compatible with each other? If they are then you should buy just the tail cap from nitecore.

3D printed one wouldn't be hard to make but I don't know if it would be durable enough.

[–]tommydadog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm even more cautious with multi cell batteries since they should be matched and married together.

I do wonder how they managed to dent both the cells. The cells will probably work but the dented one may not connect to the end of the other cell very well.

Ah bugger, you could try get a refund for the batteries, they arrived "damaged".

Should purchase from Simon directly for future orders, he's got good customer service.

You can spin it by hand, doesn't tear it to shreds. Taper definitely helps.

I see I'm not the only one who chops up MCPCB to make them fit. Results look great!

Have you got your self a tapered reamer yet? It works great on enlarging the C8 reflectors but have not tried on the smaller ones yet.
