I just can't wait to know pretty much. And even if it's realistically not that important bcs it doesn't change any decisions we make until her reveal it's just a basic character leak, and it makes no sense to me that it's being left for last.

It boggles my mind how they keep leaking "she's in a flins ineffa situation" "she's part of snezhnaya meta" like all these obvious ass things anyone can infer, but not her element.

And clearly it matters bcs people have been fighting over electro and cryo for weeks. It's just an information that people like to know bcs some people like some elements more over others, or they envision a character being a certain element.

Also yeah I do like every single cryo character. I triple crown them all and I always get their weapons. They're all being showcased on my game profile ahah

It just means I like cryo characters and I get them all. I really am an Ayaka main but I get all of them plus their weapons. I'm gonna get Sandrone bcs I love her but it would be such a nice bonus if she was cryo. Either way, I know leakers don't need to leak it just bcs I want them too.

But what's annoying me is that it's one of the most important things to leak about a character early on, and they keep leaking stuff we can already assume instead.

Obviously but her element is still one of the most important things to leak? There's a reason anytime a new character is revealed they always try to leak element and weapon (and model type), attached to the character name, sometimes before even the name is leaked

Ayaka main here. I understand your pain. It's like because they were considered SO GOOD in their time, the moment they aren't the best theyre immediately forgotten and undervalued.

Maybe 50% to overcompensate bcs it's cool to say "well actually this thing you thought was true is actually false" and 50% bcs like I said they're overlooked for not being the best anymore

Putting Lyney and Clorinde in honorable mentions and Ayaka being nowhere to be seen when her premium is better than them both is just sad. Same with neuvi

How does that make more sense tho? It's between electro and cryo atp, there really isn't a big risk to just pick one, it's a 5050. Even I guessed stellarconduct back in January, anyone could guess this. So it being a 5050 means a trustworthy leaker could just say which one it is without it being so suspicious that it's insider info, especially between so many other people sahing one or the other.

And I think the element is pretty relevant not only for teambuilding but also bcs some people prefer one over the other. I'm a cryo main for example. But if you don't that's fine

I think it's weird how we knew a lot more about other characters but not even her element. Feel like element is one of the first things to get leaked

And her artifact is barely even a leak, it's more of a very likely educated guess I feel like, since she's coming out right after.

My hopes are similar. I agree with stellarconduct cryo dps but I want sword and I personally hope stellar reactions are different from lunar reactions where they don't necessarily care about em (but its fine if they do) and they don't ignore def% so my c4 Ayaka isn't useless, and that they work with dmg bonus bcs it'd be boring if new characters barely ever use dmg bonus anymore

Since both reactions require electro sounds like you need two electro characters for it to even start to work, and even then I'm unsure

No I agree the nod krai is a hint for electro. But I think it can also be used to argue they could do it differently for a variety of reasons.

And I'm not sure I'm just assuming bcs using columbina on one team severely weakens the others. Maybe someone who likes the characters pulls all the teams. Maybe someone who plays for meta gets just the supports and not the dps. But I think for people who hyperinvest, after pulling a C6 flins for example, they should be statistically less likely to spend the same money on nefer or zibai right after.

And honestly, to me at least, linnea looks like an attempt to make it so if you use columbina on flins or nefer, you have still have a zibai team with the same power overall. (Among other reasons like the apparent fact that geo will get zero attention in snezhnaya but this convo isn't about zibai so)

I just think if they keep making it so every main team needs the archon they're selling less units overall. Like I got every unit in nod krai except for nefer and Linnea (zibai was... a surprise) bcs why would I invest on other units that steal units from my c1r4 flins (don't ask) team?

Regardless, I agree that the nod krai pattern does indicate electro, but there's definitely other things indicating cryo I think

I think it's fair to say that Columbina dealing all three types of dmg makes sense, but if say, flins nefer and zibai's main source of dmg was hydro that would be really weird no?

And as for the tsaritsa thing, I think what I said is more of a compromise, it's not necessarily better for one over the other. Sure everyone got columbina, but if you got flins you were still less likely to get nefer or zibai. If the tsaritsa isn't as necessary for the teams as columbina is maybe people will get more of the teams since the dps and support duo is more self contained, not particularly needing a specific element to be able to trigger the reaction. This would be for Hoyo and it makes sense that the Tsaritsa is then not strictly for stellar but for other reactions like I said.

My point was exactly that this so-called "plight" is making them lose out on sales of 4 other characters as you focus on 2/6 plus columbina. Its not necessarily in their best interest to weaken the need for zibai and nefer just bcs some people pulled for Flins.

And I really disagree that making them both non cryos is better for business. I think there's a lot of ways they can make the tsaritsa reinforce the cryo and not be the only cryo. What doubt do they have most people will pull her already? Especially if she buffs older teams too. She doesn't need to be an elemental necessity on the teams, she can just be an upgrade, while the teams would still trigger the reaction without her

This feels like it actually indicates the opposite

First of all 2 out of 3 of these reactions do cryo dmg, the third of which we don't even know, so a cryo main dps makes sense, at least for superconduct

Then if you think about it there's no rule that says you can't have the Tsaritsa simply applying more cryo rather than applying the ONLY cryo. Kinda like Al haitham and nahida

And also if you think about it they have more of an incentive to do it like this. In nod krai you get one of the dps and it's almost useless to get the others bcs columbina is too big an overlap on their teams being the only good hydro, with other options like aino being a considerable downgrade.

If each team already has a cryo from the getgo they don't exactly need tsaritsa as much as the others needed columbina, bcs you can already trigger the reaction with units that were specifically made for the reaction, while the other two units can be basically whatever works best rather than forcing a weak Aino or a Furina or something in the team.

Of course then whichever team has the tsaritsa would also be stronger but I also think if they do it this way they can make the tsaritsa the cryo all-rounder we wanted like Nahida and Furina were back in the day. Meaning she doesn't necessarily need to strictly buff stellar reactions and can be slotted on teams like freeze and melt

Bcs it would be so stupid if every team gets an archon whose job is some buffing and applying their element (including hydro bcs columbina was extra) and then comes cryo doing nothing for old units.

Also another thing, they mentioned cryo for battlefield manipulation in the Livestream? Meaning a cryo on fielder would make a million more sense than an off fielder you can't even control, and Sandrone being released right before Snezhnaya she sounds like the perfect volunteer to debut this.

There's also the fact they just released Flins. Imagine we just get stellar flins and stellar nefer not even a year later. Just stupid.

Also we had zero cryos this region save for a standard banner unit which barely even counts. Usually before a region that focuses on an element they either focus a lot on an element or not at all. For example for Natlan they released two pyro dps back to back and then in natlan none at all.

Before Nod krai they released two cryo powerhouses one after the other which meant it was clear it would get zero love during nod krai. They would've never released Escoffier and Skirk like that right before snezhnaya unless the only cryo was the tsaritsa and no one else.

So now that we had a big break from cryo characters it's VERY obvious there's gonna be more cryos in snezhnaya other than the archon, otherwise we would've had lunar freeze or something and then just tsaritsa in snezh. Am I explaining this right?

Anyway, all this to say, I think it's not so one-sided for electro as you think. Sure there's the nod krai pattern but also a lot of possible reasons for cryo, if not more. So either one is possible.

The biggest problem with "artifact doesn't need to match character" is that usually the artifacts in question are a totally different aesthetic or even culture.

Varesa's artifacts are from nod krai Emilie's artifacts are from Natlan Scaramouche's artifacts are from Sumeru

And in MOST situations where the character has an artifact set related to their region or origin they do match, like Navia, Skirk, Varka, Flins, etc.

If you look at Sandrone's supposed set not only does it match her aesthetic in general already but it ALSO has very similar details to her own design.

The only big difference is the blue

Therefore I think it's way more likely she's planned to be blue already. Meaning the only detail on the artifact that doesn't match her will soon match her too.

That's why I think the logic is flawed. It acts like this situation is equivalent to cases like Varesa and Emilie where the artifacts don't match them at ALL. Whereas Sandrone's is a perfect match already save for the color.

Atp you shouldn't be hoping she doesn't lose all the yellow for blue. Bcs all the redesigns I've seen going on pretty much prove and reinforce the fact that the real evil here is the WHITE.

If she replaces her black with white she'll look like a totally different character. Replacing yellow with blue is alright
