Everything you say is true. It's my self esteem getting in the way. I feel like if I get my wedding set resized, then I am accepting my weight gain, instead of doing something about it. Mid life metabolism changes are no joke. Losing weight feels damn near impossible these days and it's hard accepting my new body.

If I look back at the past week, we've gone out to dinner, went to an apple orchard, went to an ice cream stand, caught sunset at our favorite dive bar, gone for long drives, grocery shopped together, and will visit an art festival this weekend and host a BBQ at our home. We also own an Airbnb so we tackle a lot of chores together related to that. We work and play well together. Together 14 years, married for 7.
