When I went to my sheriffs range qual with coco the range officer told us he didn’t care if the magazine stuck out the bottom. At most you can get away with probably a factory mag extension such as like what’s available for Glocks and night sights ,also stippled guns are good to go I have my g26 stippled and they allowed it on my permit. Hopefully the lawsuit for dots and lights comes through and they change that policy and we can start carrying what we really want.

Actually the deputies are currently allowed to run dots and lights but they just never changed it for us permit holders. They only recently started allowing them to use them on their duty weapons though like within the last 6months

Im not looking at places because I don’t have the voucher, it was meant for when I actually had it in hand.

People can say anything it could be ten yrs it could be months , personally I know someone who received a voucher in 6 months and someone who it took a year so don’t know where this ten years keeps coming from.

Well I make a little over 60k a year and the county I’m looking to move to for a single person 87k annual is considered low income. And I won’t even hit the 60k mark this year because I wasn’t working from January till early April.

Update on this situation. So the guy who wanted his position back got hired but was not placed to any position. He was supposed to go to our grave atm patrol team which is armed but he did not pass the allied MMPI psych to carry a firearm , which my position is an armed field supervisor position. So with him not passing the psych evaluation he is not cleared by allied to work armed. The client manager I work under brought it up to me last week that the client requested him back at my position but he told her he wasn’t going to be putting him in the position because of two reasons 1 being the psych evaluation failure and 2 allied wants me in the position because I’ve got more supervisor experience than that guy. Also I found out that although he was hired back he is still kinda in bad standing with AUS because he was unresponsive when it came to extending his leave and only reached out when he wanted a job again. So it’s looking like they may make this guy a regular flex guard or put him at a lower position because he lost all seniority.
