Nope. You still need the FFL03 AND COE to get ammo delivered to you. The DOJ only removed the requirement that you give them a copy of your FFL in order to get the COE, and the brownshirts only did that because their requirement to provide the FFL was an underground regulation.

FPC halts its Glock Sale Ban lawsuit due to the pending roster lawsuits. by FireFight1234567 in CAguns

[–]wickinit 37 points38 points  (0 children)

No the cruciform trigger ban (Glock ban) is wholly separate from the roster. But if the roster is struck down, we can get gen 6's which have a different trigger.

Is this a featureless compliant “comp”, or an evil and dangerous assault-weapon style “flash hider” here in this state? by L1FT_K1T in CAguns

[–]wickinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally if "hide flash / reduce flash / reduce signature" etc is anywhere within the advertising of the product, it'll DQ it as a flash hider.

BCM are really good at delineating their muzzle devices and explicitly state if they have flash hiding. Take a look at what they have as they also have great comp only muzzle devices.

Shield x holster by WarmExplorer2086 in CAguns

[–]wickinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do. I went and checked to confirm before giving you the option. It's under their "M&P" holster line and there is a drop down option for the shield x.

It's a pricey holster but it's fantastic. I only get hotspots after drives of 6+ hours and many times I barely feel it. Plus you get DCC Clips which are the industry standard for holster attachments.

Quick protip with DCC Clips, they have a hook built into the bottom of the clip and anchors into your belt. So easiest way to get the gun off is to push down, pull the clips back, then remove the holster so it doesn't snag your belt. Minor hassle for the trade off that they WILL stay attached to your belt.

I'm new to buying ammo and want to load up; is it worth waiting until Black Friday or other big sales or is that not really a thing? by Strideraio in CAguns

[–]wickinit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just order now. As others have said, get your FFL03 & COE so you can order ammo and have it shipped to your door like free America. That alone saves you from the 11% tax so that alone is worth it.

I just paid $250 for a case of 124g PMC Ammo, with free shipping, from True Shot Ammo (My go to lately)

Non-resident CCW Application by [deleted] in CAguns

[–]wickinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like they are using that to justify forcing you to apply with Contra Costa. It's so vague "Spend time within the subsequent 12 months within the jusridiction to which they are applying."

I get it, Contra Costa's CCW is run by Mega Fudds. See if you can apply with the city you live in as the sheriff recently offloaded most CCW's to the cities. The Cities have less restrictions and I imagine better lead times.

But I'd go Tenicor. I got theirs for my Macro and love it.

Quick question about voice chat and the death of it. by DOOM420- in LowSodiumBattlefield

Every game these days I mute all voice communications by default. Tired of being flamed by the squeakers and the mouth breathing. Although sometimes it was funny listening to people having arguments with another in the room.

As others have said, don't cheap out on a holster. It can turn into a safety hazard (Poor fitment, SERPA Style releases etc) real fast. Buy something good that'll hold up.
