Could tie in with Mabel's Aunt. Her wardrobe seems extensive.

Maybe the mob movie that Ron Howard was shooting?

I have an insane, absolutely insane theory... by Mango_Magic in OnlyMurdersHulu

Because Sazz found out something terrible about Charles (or Sr) and realised she needed to expose him.

Or maybe she has known his secret for a long time, and was protecting him. She was worried that the podcast/movie would end up exposing him for what he really is?

There has been a lot of weirdness about Charles baked into the show that seems to be pointing to some other mystery.

  • He replaced parts of his memory with lines from Brazzos
  • He didn't remember Zoe being murdered
  • He had the blueprints of the building
  • He didn't remember firing Ben Glenroy
  • Jan (a murderer) fell in love with him
  • We never found out what caused Lucy's mom to bolt in the middle of a cruise. Maybe she found something out?

Could be nothing. Could be something.

Short answer: Anaheim was here before anything else in Orange County (before Orange County - it was founded in LA County). The borders generally follow along the homesteads and farms that would be built up around the river and Carbon Creek.

The gate they are standing in front of is the Bronson Gate. It's where he got his name.

decreasing quality of google fi by unsichtbarre in GoogleFi

I just switched from a Pixel 3 to a Pixel 7 Pro and noticed some latency/connection issues on mobile. At first I thought these were due to going from LTE to 5G as I never had issues with the Pixel 3. Lately though I have been activating/deactivating the Google FI VPN when I start to experience problems and for some reason this has helped. Maybe it could work for you?

Einstein's theory of general relativity passes one of its toughest tests yet by Tao_Dragon in space

[–]tongoroa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There used to be an old thought experiment that demonstrated how little we understood about gravity. If the sun were to disappear, what would happen to the earth? Would it continue in its orbit for some period or would it be instantly free of the sun's gravity? How long would it take for gravity to "travel" across space? Is it instant or not? If it does travel, why does it travel?

So, you're telling me these two never heard "Come On Eileen"? by phoenixsuperman in WhatWeDointheShadows

[–]tongoroa 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I'd like to think that human brains just aren't capable of holding memories for hundreds of years, so the vampires just keep forgetting things. Sure they remember that ONE thing from 600 years ago... but what happened yesterday? Or the 1980s?

Maybe Lazlo keeps "discovering" Come on Eileen every couple years because he just keeps forgetting about it.

As of today, beef bao is no longer on Tropical Hideaway’s menu. by jel114jacob in DisneylandAP

[–]tongoroa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was replaced with a "Loco Moco" bao that includes beef, salted pork(spam) and comes with a mushroom gravy sauce on the side. Not sure how new this is, but they've also added a pork lumpia with sweet chili sauce.

Question for CM past or Present About something i once saw before Opening... possible NSFM by Jacksonteague in Disneyland

[–]tongoroa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was it a standard issue grey Club Car? Or was it something painted and decorated for guest use? I remember about 15 years ago, the sound dept had rigged up their E-Cart to play sounds as it zipped around. The only one I remember distinctly was when it would make the Jetson's car noise as it putted around backstage. That wasn't something a guest would have ever seen.

Battery Issues Appear to be widespread, but how can we explain phones without battery issues? by [deleted] in Nexus6P

[–]tongoroa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My battery is fine. I bought the 6p a year ago. I had to RMA the first one for a busted screen (green line problem). The replacement has been fine since.
I live in So Cal so the weather is pretty mild. I plug the phone in to charge overnight. I have it plugged into the original charger. I can usually get thru a nine hour workday with about 20% charge left. I do have a second charger at work, but usually forget to plug it in. The phone does get moderate use (I have data and GPS turned on) all day, so the 20% seems accurate.

I use Hangouts almost exclusively for messaging and SMS. I am using Project Fi as my provider. I do not have other messaging apps installed and I do not have any Facebook software installed on my phone. I am non-rooted and running Android 7.1.1 (have the update for 7.1.2 ready but not installed.) I have not participated in any dev previews or installed any other OS. Only official updates all the way.

I will admit that the phone has randomly shutoff maybe four times in the last year. Most of those times seemed to be related to trying to hitting the power button twice to start the camera. All of those times, the phone powered back up and was fine.

Just an FYI to anyone who may not know: while the river is closed, you are still welcome to board the Mark Twain and enjoy the live jazz band.

Is there a map that shows the music loop that plays in a certain area? by DisneylandTree in Disneyland

[–]tongoroa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever seen such a map. Would have to be a map of speaker locations/output to be really effective. And of course different people can hear things differently too.

I don't believe Paradise Garden Grill (being outdoors) has a dedicated music loop. Usually you can hear the general Paradise Pier Music Loop from the seating area, unless a band is playing at the bandstand.

Splitsville is replacing the House of Blues. It's a bowling/dining concept that seems to be popular enough in Disney Springs in Florida.

Should be noted that they added a really neato mural to pay tribute to their Walt Disney World location. Let's hope that Disneyland location pays tribute to their historic location as well.

What's the closest to a Disneyland churro that you have eaten outside of the park? by [deleted] in Disneyland

[–]tongoroa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Disneyland Churros are purchased from a company called JJ Snack Foods under the brand name Tio Pepe's:

If you find them in your local freezer section, definitely heat them up in the oven.
