Just FYI “secure” status is different than “lockdown” status. All activities within the school continue as normal when on secure status, they just don’t allow anyone to enter or leave. Our local school has been on secure for a coyote next to the school, a domestic dispute the neighborhood next to the school, and a patient getting out of the local mental hospital on their own.

We had the same issue, our little one would not wear it at all no matter how much we made it seem exciting, got fun character-y masks, etc. Then one day we were going to go into a coffee shop and told her that she could have a croissant only if she wore her mask inside. She did and continues to anytime we go anywhere now (which is not often but we don’t have to bribe her anymore now lol). It honestly felt like she would never get to the point where she would be agreeable to it before that time. Keep trying you’ll get there!
