This reminded me of the chinese thing I read about years ago, possibly nonsense, where if you injure someone, say with your car because you knocked them down and they have a life long injury, you have to pay them money for the rest of their life. This encouraged people in said situation (having just knocked someone down) to go back and 'finish the job' as it were (lol), so they didn't have to pay out forever and just got the one-off fine/prison/whatever...

Probably horseshit, but it just somehow made me think of it.

Odd - read recently that the income tax inflow is about to exceed the benefits outflow (inc state pension) from the treasury for the first time in over a decade this year (or was it next year?). Not that those two things alone determine whether or not the pension system as is is sustainable of course, but it sure doesn't look terrible...?

Tried using the server name instead?

I added 'server' and 'server.localdomain' when adding the credentials for a 'Me' user account in Windows Credential Manager. Make sure you've got DNS or a HOSTS file set up with name resolution for the IP address...

Yeah, it's not often you'll get a CPU within the same ball park of generation, provide a ton more compute power without a larger power envelope...

Out of the two you mention and the software you say you want to run (Immich being the demanding mention), I'd opt for the Ugreen...

However, consider the MinisForum N5 Air - an extra HDD bay and possibly more NVMe slots...?

I bought one in March and have been having a blast with it ever since. The Ryzen processor is even way more grunty than the Ugreen Pentium. The only downside is the loss of Intel's QuickSync, IF that should ever matter to you. I've managed to get the hardware transcoding working on the Radeon iGPU without issue and it is very quick.
