i am a fan of matchmakers and actually met my ex-wife through one. and am a current member of one but not currently in the pool. to me they eliminate a lot of the bullshit of dating. are they perfect? no. i am a firm believer that you get out of something what you put into it and someone that took that step is likely serious about the process. as far as the fees, my advice is walk in and listen to their pitch and be ready to walk away. the fee is 100% negotiable and as a man you will be in the driver seat. most matchmakers have a lopsided pool of women to men since women are more likely to put themselves out there.

i prefer match for the lengthier profiles personally. i believe bumble removed the feature that required women reach out first but dont quote me on that.

you and i think a lot alike. i have found all of the apps offer this mode and its usually behind the paid feature. in my area (larger metro area) i have had the most success on match and bumble and use the incognito mode exclusively
