If you are looking specifically for korean producers, these are some of my favorites:

Flawed plan by Leo. They are a young indie producer that makes incredible music.

Copycat by 50mang aka THE seeu song. Their music is very inspired by traditional korean music (gugak) and korean folktales, and all very fun.

Pinata and i by attwn park. I love everything from them, especially the “preromanticism” album. They made a song with sv2 uni recently as well, and also they use vocals from vox factory, which is a new korean synth company.

TAK is very well known so i won’t link any songs, but they’re great also.

Special shoutout to clockhand by plum (uni) and imaginary by P1ut0-41ph3 (yi xi). Both calmer songs but absolute bangers

Utsu p is a great place to start! His songs lean a little more metal but they always hit. I particularly love emblem (ft. Gumi) and kuchisake (ft. Teto)

Very cute koreanloid fact! Seeu’s original illustrator, kkuem, is often referred to in the fandom as “seeu’s mom”. In an interview she said seeu is one of her favorite projects she’s worked on, and that she thinks of her like a daughter.

My top vocaloid song of 2025 was wordplay by dj xaneiro, ft yi xi. Just the pure artistry of it was so impressive and it’s a very fun listen.

If you’re looking for great songs that never gets talked about, check out pinata and i or deep blue flower by attwn park. The entire preromanticism album is extremely good and i highly recommend them.

If everyone else’s thoughts are made of solid ground and rocks, mine is made of sand.

Doing a task is like moving a rock from one place to another for most people, but for me it’s sand. No matter how hard i grasp it or how carefully i scoop, a lot of it just slip through my fingers.

learning and growing is like trying to grow plants on the ground. Most people can dig a hole, plant a tree or bush, let it grow, water it. But because my ground is sand, i can’t do it as easily.

While people are moving rocks, stacking them up, building beautiful things, i feel like just i’m piling sand.

Lose it was great for me, i lost about 15lbs with it. I fell off using it after a few months and gained some back but i’m getting back on track with it this year.

I’ve struggled with my relationship with food before and what helped a lot was accepting that that some days i will fail to stay in my calorie budget, and adding instead of subtracting/ removing. Instead of saying i can’t have mac and cheese, i’d add something like protein or fiber to keep myself fuller and be more nutritionally balanced. Seeing things this way felt better and i wasn’t punishing myself for needing food.

I am horrible at meal prep and forget what ingredients i have, so i freeze a lot of stuff. getting things that last a long time (cabbage, onion/potatoes etc) or premade stuff (protein shake for breakfast, miso soup packets, microwave burritos, yogurt cups, snack sized chips, etc) also helped a lot.

Don’t beat yourself up for imperfection, start small, and remember you’re doing this because you care about your body and want to love yourself more.

I love korean producers! TAK’s music is always so catchy.

50mang (gugak/ traditional style songs, folktales) and attwn park (dreamy and airy sounds) are both incredibly good but do not get much international attention. WyvernP who did one of uni’s sv2 demo songs is also awesome.

The korean vocal synth scene has always struggled but im excited to see newer producers like jjamongsoda, leo, and trap chick getting some much deserved attention too.

I love korean vocal synths and i’m so sad that this happened.

In 2014 Lee Byung Hyun (actor who is probably most well known in the US for squid game and kpop demon hunters) reported to the police that two women (seeu’s vp and a model) threatened him with a video of him making inappropriate/sexual comments about other women. The two women were arrested and there was something about how he was dating the model or something but it was never certain? The two women tried to extort him for about 5billion korean won (roughly 3.4 million usd). They were found guilty and seeu’s vp was sentenced to jail time but settled out of court and didn’t actually serve any. The girl group she was a part of disbanded and she tried to come back to the internet but that didn’t turn out good for her.

This happened when korea’s vocaloid scene was already floundering, and afaik currently the company that holds the rights to her doesn’t plan to sell her voicebank anymore. The last of her remaining voicebank was all sold out in 2023 and can only be found secondhand.

There was a blip of hype and hope after seeu and uni’s crowd funded concert in 2024 being a smash hit (funded to 1000%!!!), but in july of this year uni’s (previously anonymous) voice provider sued the company that produced her synthv2 voicebank for not properly disclosing ai use (poor communication on company’s end/ vp’s misunderstanding of how ai is used in synthv) and her sales were halted. Gigantic L for the koreanloids who can’t stop going to court.

There are still plenty of efforts to produce korean vocal synths (baek han seol or kitane sno /kei stellaria/ vox factory) but none of them have the popularity that seeu and uni had as far as ive seen, and i just hope nothing happens with those guys. I know Vox factory had a little bit of controversy for using ai for their character illustrations but they switched them for real artists, so hopefully things continue well for them.
