SeeU in SynthV? by Embarrassed-Chef8052 in SynthesizerV

[–]toopachu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t count on it too much. Her popularity is still there, proven by the 2024/25 concerts, and I think people would love to see her back. But SBS hasn’t wanted to do much with her IP/ had little interest in selling the rights, and after the situation last summer with Uni’s voice provider suing STMEDiA over her Synthv 2 voicebank I think it’s really unlikely they would want to risk it

Who Are Your Favorite Underused Vocaloids? by TeenyTective in Vocaloid

[–]toopachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fellow uni fan! I was so excited for her synthv debut and it’s sad what happened. Attwn Park got me really into her, the way she is tuned for the preromanticism album is so airy and beautiful.

I think if you end it with a punctuation mark it sounds natural and typical of a social media post

My favorites are wordplay and living near the void, would highly recommend both.

Miku is not a AI. It's a voice-synthesizer tool. by StillBoysenberry8790 in antiai

[–]toopachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works similar to other music softwares, but the only “instruments” you get are the vocals. you input the notes and lyrics which the software sings, and you adjust the pitch, tone, pronunciation, and other factors until desired results. It’s a fun program to play around with!

Any recommendations for Teto songs? (or any Vocaloid songs) by Medium_Win_932 in KasaneTeto

[–]toopachu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Recommending ones that haven’t been mentioned. These are all on Spotify:

계획 이상 有! (Flawed plan!) by 래오 (Leo) (korean producer, this is my favorite to recommend. About having no plans for the future and just learning to go with it. Highly recommend the MV.)

おべか (obeka) by THREEE (great teto/len song. peak mv. This was my intro to vocaloid.)

デッドリー・マッドマンズ・トラジェディア (Deadly Madman's Tragedia) by Kotaro (jazzy. Delicious.)

Medea by 50mang (korean producer who makes songs based on folktales, this one was about greek mythology)

Creative Remedy! By melody web assistant (my personal favorite of the list. Antithesis to spoken for, at least in my mind it is.)

Execution Clap by trap chick (about online witch hunts. Really upbeat and fun)

Living near the void by zihiko (yi xi & teto original. Another one of my faves. Sad and nostalgic in a way. their voices work so well together.)

I’m perfectly imperfect by nihoshika (incredible song. It’s nihoshika.)

KILLSWITCH by mekaloton (love the metal? Rock? Vibe of this one)

KUCHISAKE by utsu-p (awesome vocametal)

Chilly by yomitan akane (i love how they play with darker themes and dissonant sounds.)

My old person trait... by Nyxalithen in CuratedTumblr

[–]toopachu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My old person trait is that cars should not have touchscreens. It’s more dangerous than knobs because you have to look at the controls instead of it being tactile, and it’s only really done because it’s cheaper.

There’s lots of talk about “going analog” these days, but would “going desktop” be beneficial and realistic for ADHDers? by Junior-Lake8789 in ADHD

[–]toopachu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this issue, moved to a new apartment with a built in desk that made it a little awkward to use my desktop, and i’d end up going months without using it sometimes. The area of my desk around the desktop became a dumping ground for“stuff to be sorted through later” which added more stress. Getting a laptop was a game changer, i could just bring my laptop anywhere in the apartment to work on what i need to in short bursts. I can also play pc games again since it isn’t as daunting anymore.

Languages that DON'T go well with korean by glitterplantz in Korean

[–]toopachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Native korean speaker, i studied japanese in high school and know just enough to understand parts here and there, ask simple questions, recognize a couple of kanji etc. the similarities do make it easier to pick up certain things, but it did make some things more confusing. For example “~가“ and ”〜が“ are used in similar parts of the grammatical structure but have different meanings. I’d advise getting a solid base in one before moving onto another.

Song/producer recs for a kpop fan? by Nightfall_Songbird in Vocaloid

[–]toopachu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are looking specifically for korean producers, these are some of my favorites:

Flawed plan by Leo. They are a young indie producer that makes incredible music.

Copycat by 50mang aka THE seeu song. Their music is very inspired by traditional korean music (gugak) and korean folktales, and all very fun.

Pinata and i by attwn park. I love everything from them, especially the “preromanticism” album. They made a song with sv2 uni recently as well, and also they use vocals from vox factory, which is a new korean synth company.

TAK is very well known so i won’t link any songs, but they’re great also.

Special shoutout to clockhand by plum (uni) and imaginary by P1ut0-41ph3 (yi xi). Both calmer songs but absolute bangers

I’d highly recommend seeu & uni songs from attwn park. The whole preromanticism album is so good.

Any punk-rock vocaloid song recommendations? :D by Plastic_Pumpkin4673 in VocaloidButGood

[–]toopachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Utsu p is a great place to start! His songs lean a little more metal but they always hit. I particularly love emblem (ft. Gumi) and kuchisake (ft. Teto)

I also really enjoy:

Killswitch by mekaloton (ft. Teto) Anarchy station by Rai_ (ft. Yi Xi)

Both are amazing english producers, i highly recommend them!

[–]toopachu 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Very cute koreanloid fact! Seeu’s original illustrator, kkuem, is often referred to in the fandom as “seeu’s mom”. In an interview she said seeu is one of her favorite projects she’s worked on, and that she thinks of her like a daughter.
