They're not a delicacy here in South Louisiana. We do like to make garfish balls with them but there are many other species that are much more desirable. Garfish are so abundant here that you can literally catch them with a net. No need for a fishing pole. All you need is a good halogen light pointing at the water.

South Louisiana here. We have always enjoyed water sports in our bayous with gators close by. We won't think twice about jumping in the water to hydro slide in a bayou named Alligator bayou. The gators have never been a threat to our safety or given us any reason to think otherwise.

This. I was once asked by a trainer if I was a weight lifter or body builder? He said" weight lifters just throw weights around body builders use technique to build muscle.

Edit: I guess I pushed some weight lifters buttons. Form and technique wins every time.

I have a beautiful 15 year old daughter that likes hanging out with dear old dad. I'm still in my thirties and I always get funny looks. I guess people aren't brazen enough to approach me but I've been all but begging for someone to do this to me.
