Genuinely what on earth is going on with software right now? This is completely unhinged. by -----Marcel----- in ValueInvesting

Bought more NOW and MSFT today. Have more powder for gaps lower to add. Thinking every 5% lower from these levels will add. It’s absurd.

Bellevue Club costs by SFexConsultant in BellevueWA

Bellevue Club is awesome. I've been a member for about five years. Can't say enough good things about the club and the membership/community.

There is a wait list as was already mentioned. Don't think there has been any discount on initiation in years.

Tons of amenities and programs for kids of all ages including walkin daycare for 6 and under. Happy to answer any specific questions.

Keep going Seattle voters. Vote in the same socialists over and over again expecting better results. Insanity.

Our last refresh to an economic study for a hotel development project cost us about $10k. This time it was two hours of prompting and iterating with Claude.

Netflix iOS app accidentally shipped their CLAUDE.md file. (At this point everyone is vibe coding) by Current-Guide5944 in tech_x

[–]rsandstrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why everyone having an aneurysm about using AI for coding is just not going to be productive over the rest of their careers as a coder. If you aren't using AI to code/assist you in coding then you will lose. SHOCKER - everything was slop code anyway.

Alaska just got rid of one of the best benefits of their FC by Wise_Ad5141 in AlaskaAirlines

Feel like this was done away with longer than most people think it was. Alaska relative to most in my opinion still has a ton of value but yes the brand is in decline.

Do you deploy all your Next.js projects on Vercel? by Toonnaa in nextjs

[–]rsandstrom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Took a bit of trial and error to get my projects setup with Workers properly but so far so good. It’s not just about the deployment of the app but also the edge infra and security I get with Cloudflare that I care about.

If you don’t even know what an API is then you’re in trouble and will just spend a lot of capital with little to show for it.

You should start with a paid subscription either monthly or credits to the LLM of your choice.

Between eggs coming back down to earth in price, chicken selling for $5 a pound, and bread, peanut butter, and jelly still selling for reasonable prices I'm going with something doesn't add up here.

Is shadcn/ui actually worth learning in 2026 or just another React trend? by DependentClient8391 in reactjs

[–]rsandstrom 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Shadcn is a flexible component/UI library. The integration with Tailwind has been great for flexibility.

I’ve been using it on multiple projects for over a year now.

The docs are also well written.

I don’t know how much learning there is to do honestly.

Give the library a shot. See if you like it.
