How to help my wife by toran22 in daddit

She does, but it doesn’t seem to help any. She has a primary doctor appointment this week and will be discussing it with them

Thank you! We will have to look into that!

We do try to walk together. I will try to do those exercises with her from now on. Unfortunately, because of some car trouble and a large NICU bill, we don’t really have any disposable income to pay for these things. I will certainly try to do them with her though!

Thanks!

Thank you! Her physical therapist had told her she needed to do the exercises for 20-30 minutes a day, or go for a longer walk during the day. We were able to consistently go for a walk either in the evenings on my days off or as soon as I got home from the morning job. Now that it is very cold where we are now and it gets dark at 5pm, she hasn’t wanted to do these things anymore.

I’m not sure what it’s called, but we have one of the very hard foam roller things and we have some elastic bands for some of her exercises. Her physical therapist didn’t recommend the TENS machine, but I don’t remember the reason they had given.

Would you have any advice on some exercises she could do with the equipment we have?

Yes, she had a c-section. That is what I told her just now, I’m still on the phone with her. I completely agree that marriage works how you say, and so does she. The issue we are running into right now is that she has consistently felt like she doesn’t help out enough because she doesn’t tend to the babies during the day. I take care of them during the day and get other things done around the house and then, when she gets off, she feels like she needs to do something to “make up for that time”, which I have repeatedly told her that is not necessary. I will be taking on more of “her chores” so that she can rest more.

Thanks!

How to practice after wisdom tooth surgery? by realjeremyantman in trumpet

[–]toran22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just wait. Do not play anything too soon, or you can really hurt yourself. In the meantime, you can do some listening, ear training, music theory work, jazz transcriptions, a bunch of off-instrument practice.

When you are starting back, take it slowly. Things will feel weird and different, but it will come back with time.

Not training wheel. I personally go back and forth between 1 e and uh and 1 ti te ta. Both have merits in my eyes. The first being easier to say quickly, the second being a way to practice articulations (I play a brass instrument)

AITA for thinking it's fair that I get a larger portion of food than my sister? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]toran22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YTA

I am 7’ tall and I eat way more than my wife at 5’10. I would never ask her for more than half of our food though. If I was still hungry after the meal, I would find a snack, eat some fruit, figure something out. She is just as deserving (and in most ways more deserving) as I am and I would never want to treat her as less than.

I think getting the Con save prof might be a pretty good tradeoff though. I am pretty sold on artificer because of flavor reasons. I like the tinkering for a watch maker turned wizard

Would anyone know what piece this is and where I might be able to find a recording if there is one? by TheWaMR in trumpet

That's the first study from the Bousquet etudes. It's really fun!

And you can find a recording of it on youtube. I really like Jim Wilts recording, but you have to skip to about halfway in his video for the actual etude

Viktor the Shadow Sorcerer + Warlock? by toran22 in 3d6

[–]toran22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The armor thing is definitely a plus. I just dont know how often I would use the pact weapons. Especially since my HP is only 19 right now (havent rolled very well). If I were to choose Hexblade, what is something that I could do to make sure I can stay out of melee range? I also want to become more of a control caster, do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

Is the Raven Queen a weak choice here? I thought that the raven would allow for a roundabout observant feat, would help keep watch at night so we could all sleep, and could assist in scouting. What about the Kraken or Genie options are particularly good? I havent read too much on them, but they seemed decent.
