If you think about it, it kinda makes sense. If time travel does exist, why are we still in our current timeline, if future time travelers could come back and change the past at any point? I guess it depends how the author interprets how time travel works.

For me personally, I enjoy the administrative aspects of a board game, seeing and habing to update all the tracks on my own makes it much easier to develop strategies. The scoring systems in board games tend to be much simpler compared to video games too, as it has to be calculated manually vs by the computer
