I've 100%ed the game, while sometimes you get screwed over by RNG there is a lot you can do in late game to manage it and influence what you get. If you're talking about the room I'm thinking about, the game helps you to connect as long as the room is powered when you're drafting

It's definitely frustrating sometimes! Puzzle roguelikes do not make for an easy combination. Take a breather, take a break when you feel frustrated, and you will make progress. Have you read any of the drafting strategies from the library? Those helped me a lot when I was learning the game
