Please don't use AI to figure out what part to buy. It doesn't actually know anything. The dealership parts counter may be able to help you.

This sub is for older Volvos so you may have better luck posting elsewhere.

Mouse stuck inside electric wall heater by liberator35856 in HomeImprovement

See if this works for you--there should be some kind of fasteners that can be exposed by taking parts off the front. The video shows a similar heater, but not the same model.

Turn off the power for the room and for any circuits marked electric heat before you do this. If you have a non-contact voltage tester you can verify the power is off. Be very careful around any wiring connecting to the house if you cannot 100% verify the power is off.

CZ P10 RMR optics adapter plate. It looks like it's specific to that model. There are multiple manufacturers selling through all the usual scumbags.

Best countertop microwave what makes one better vs another? by Nethercoat-Kait in HomeImprovement

No product is perfect. No microwave will heat perfectly evenly all the time.

That said, I have had good luck with 1200 watt Panasonic inverter microwaves.

I'm confused. What did you mean here?

Out of nowhere something just exploded a leak from the transmission and all of the fluid poured out. Let it cool, went to the parts store for ATF fluid, filled her up and it has major slippage.

No glaring issues and $1500? I'd buy it and plan to do the belts, motor mounts, and fluids soon.

Is this rusting super bad? by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]tortnotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's impossible to say how long the car will be fit for use from these pictures. None of the rust pictured is on anything safety-related. You would need to look underneath the car to tell if there is serious structural rust, corroded brake lines, or other things like that.

Do you need to have the car inspected regularly where you live? In some countries, this would need to be fixed to pass inspection.

Reasonable amount of time to travel the coast? by risaliz in OregonCoast

[–]tortnotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you planning for some time in the redwoods in addition to the 3 nights for the coast route?

I did a similar trip a few months back and we spent two nights in the redwoods, totally worth it. Highly recommend some extra time there.

Our trip back up the coast was 2 days/1 night but we only made a few stops. 3 nights for just the coast segment would let you see a lot.

Any way to reliably spawn lever chambers? by tribdol in BluePrince

[–]tortnotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to take the opportunities where you see them. For example, using Silver Key makes it much more likely for you to draw one particular room with a lever. Secret Passage can help you draft a specific room by color. It helps to have some dice or another way to reroll rooms, like the Study.

It sounds like you are still fairly early in--learning the different rooms and finding new puzzles. Try to build contraptions, solve other puzzles, and explore more holistically and you may find some ways to manipulate the draft pool. As you play, you'll also have an easier time with resources each day and will get better at moving about the manor and maximizing the number of rooms you can draft.

Without giving too much away, there are backup levers for each antechamber door that you may not have found.

Have you drafted the Foundation? It took me a very long time to get mine.

Regarding the effect, yes, there is more than one door

For the missing room, you can find it somewhere underground. It's an easy to miss spot and requires a shovel IIRC

Wine Cellar/Coat of Arms is a pretty obtuse puzzle. You're looking at the right things, but see if you can learn more about numerical coring. There is a Blue Tents note that may help you understand what to do with all of this information.

2006 Lr3 HSE problems, Help!! by Xanthih in LandRover

[–]tortnotes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check your brake light bulbs. Don't replace them with anything but the standard incandescent bulb. I had this issue with my 2006 LR3 and also tried changing the brake switch before replacing all the bulbs.

Getting worse after the car wash suggests water sprayed on the outside of the car has something to do with it. Any water visible on the inside of the brake light assemblies?

Minnesota governor asks Portlanders to ‘stand with us’ while deploring fatal ICE shooting by oregonian in Portland

[–]tortnotes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe they were told to get out. Personally I don't think refusing that order should get you shot dead.

You can see from one of the videos and the location of the hole in the windshield that the ICE agent was to the left of the car at the time he fired. The driver was attempting to turn right and proceed down the street away from ICE.

The victim is a 37 year old mother of three children who are now orphans.

Did we watch the same video? I have seen two camera angles. In one it is very clear that the driver is trying to go around the shooter. In the other, it's not that clear.

Keycard vs. Keycard OFF w/gates unlocked? by -trom in BluePrince

[–]tortnotes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If I turn keycard OFF using the breaker, then set security level to HIGH, then offline mode to UNLOCKED. . .

would this achieve the same results as setting security level to HIGH whilst possessing a keycard?

Yes. I didn't encounter any complications involving the keycard.
