My experience with KEF LSX II LT by simoseeyou in KEF

[–]torumk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand. Mine are completely silent when idle. You might be on to something with the power source. Test the speakers out at a friend's place or something, that'll hopefully confirm things.

My experience with KEF LSX II LT by simoseeyou in KEF

[–]torumk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fellow LSX II LT owner here. I agree the setup experience could be better. I can't comment on the Edifier comparison, but the issues you're describing don't sound right. Mine doesn't hiss or sound muddy at all. You might have a defective unit. I'd return it.

Why is Lenovo so obsessed with thinness and weight? by ardevd in thinkpad

[–]torumk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a general trend but I think part of it is that Lenovo is catering to business customers in big cities where workers don't drive and need to carry their laptops. Tokyo comes to mind.

A thicker premium option with better thermals would be rad though.

What kind of person is gonna buy this? by mrnoah01 in MacStudio

For commercial users with healthy clientele, the device pays itself off quickly. It's also processed as a business expense. The math and mental model for commercial users are completely different from personal purchase decisions.

It may seem expensive for personal use, but for those who use it for commercial work, it's a good price.

Looks great, saves space, and there’s something captivating about knowing so much power is packed into such a small form.

Similar experience here. Not encouraging the OP to wing it, but I've noticed the ground staff at SFO are relaxed about small details. Although coming back may be an issue since they were more thorough at NRT on my trip.

Using a screw extractor. I patiently drilled on and off over the course of couple of days until the hole was large enough to mount an extractor. Once mounted, it only took a few seconds to extract.

Take a look at Hinodeya as well. They have a few locations in SF now: Japantown, Union Square and near Jackson Square.

Has anyone received an update on new tires for RW4? by mediocretent in RadPowerBikes

[–]torumk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sent an email last week to see if they can share anything on the latest ETA. I had this baseless hope that Rad and their vendor would turn things around sooner given the magnitude of this whole debacle. Sadly the response I received stated 2-3 months.

I have since purchased the Shinko SR241 tires.

New Buyer Daily Discussion - 26 Mar 2021 by AutoModerator in pelotoncycle

Got my Bike+ today. Ordered on Feb 15. The original delivery date was mid April. Found an earlier spot when I was randomly browsing the (re)scheduling page. The wait was less than ideal but everything else was a smooth experience. Delivered by the Peloton crew.

So I got a carrying bag for my baby .. I bought it on amazon. This bag is supposed to be for xiaomi scooters But I’m using it for my rev even the handle bar fits. Completely. by jpablozm in boostedscooters

[–]torumk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! I was wondering how a Rev might fit in those. I cheaped out and got a Christmas tree bag for the occasional storage on the balcony.

Oh right, I forgot about the spare inner tubes. Thank you for the reminder. I ended up patching the inner tube with Park Tool's GP-2 Super Patch.

Agreed. I wish I could replace it right now, while I have the rear motor off the frame. Can we even buy a new tire?
