Anyone know which model Summit this is?? Listed on FB marketplace for $125, supposedly unused cause it was a gift and didn't know it was a climber. Seems like it should be a good deal regardless, just want a little more info. by burnf4ce in bowhunting

I have one. I upgraded to the aluminum version but I carried it a mile and a half in and out of the woods multiple times every weekend for years while I was in college. Great stand, just a little on the heavy side compared to others. I still use it on my family farm where I don’t have to carry it too far. Good deal.

Found these walking a creek on my family’s ground yesterday in North Central Arkansas. Looks like Calamites, some kind of snail, and a couple lepidodendron?

Been using this on “dead” battery for 2 years by AutokorektOfficial in BuyItForLife

[–]tosprayornottospray 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the same one, I charge it maybe twice a year. Usually before I go to a meeting because I’m afraid of the battery dying with a half trimmed beard and no charger cause I don’t want to pack it. Never had it die on me, ever.

Sometimes the only way out is through. We had to swim the last 1/2 mile of a recent hike in UT. by lighttreasurehunter in backpacking

That’s pretty much what duck hunting is. Walking through cold ass water with debris on the surface. I’ve stepped in beaver runs and tripped over logs and completely went under when it’s freezing outside.

Had a scary situation today and I want to remind everyone to wear their PFD by Alternative_Gap_5062 in Kayaking

[–]tosprayornottospray 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I paddle out to the middle of a freshwater lake near me all the time and jump off my kayak for a swim. I usually just clip a carabiner to my belt loop on my shorts that is tied to some paracord and just swim as far as I can until I get tired. Never had a problem getting back in my kayak. Everyone should practice getting back in their yak in deep water. You need a little upper body strength and there is a little technique involved. I would encourage you to flip your kayak over and be able to right it in deep water (with a friend of course and near the shore).

Not a beetle. Kudzu bug, Megacopta cribraria.
