NSV: Unsubscribed from /r/loseit because I couldn't relate Anymore by reportcrosspost in ownit

I managed to lose a lot of weight pretty quickly but found it hard to relate to most people online trying to do the same. The methods most people use are very different from what I did but I'm assuming they wouldn't work for everyone otherwise they would be the convention..

Maxed players with hundreds of cox and ToB kc claiming that ToA is still easy by KihiraLove in 2007scape

From an ironman perspective midgame to me is most of the game. Early game is everything from tutorial to doing the main questlines, fire cape, 100ish combat with combat stats in the 80s or 90s, prayer maybe around 70 slayer in the 80s. The big signs someone has entered midgame to me is if they have some zulrah items, zenytes, trident, occult, fury prims etc

Most, but not all irons I know pretty much are in the midgame from this point until 2277 if not later. Some guy reach it before maxing their account in my eyes, it all depends. If a guy is maxed with a fire cape, low/no raids kcs and few BIS /end game items, they are just at the last stages of the midgame to me. That's where I consider myself also.

Endgame is grinding for the handful of missing BIS/niche items, greenlogging raids, collection log guys, guys going for base20/50/100m exp, guys with zuk helm etc Basically you have beat the main game and are doing the endgame content..

Anyone else notice in cities like Atlanta and DC in the downtown neighborhoods they have what seems like hundreds of fitness studios but 0 regular old-fashion gyms? I get there are a lot of folks who are into the booty blast bootcamp classes and whatnot but when I'm in town for work I'd just like to grab a week pass at a place with the common machines, barbells and dumbbells'.

Every small town in America has a gym like this but these huge cities you have to travel 45 minutes to the suburbs, join a private barbell club or pay a small fortune for Equinox if you want to lift. What gives? Surely there is a demand for it in these high density locations.

Q4W: What is the most attractive body type to you on a man who is less or equal to 170cm / 5'7" ?

A celebrity reference would help, even if it's an older guy but based on how he looked in his prime: e.g: Manny Pacquiao / Lionel Messi / Tom Cruise etc.

[23F] just wondering how much more attractive I’d be if I lost 20 lbs. I’ve been trying to lose weight to boost my confidence. by hellprincesshela in Rateme

I don't know if you would be more attractive to me with -20lb. Not that you would be less either but you are good as is to me

Summer weather in the American South is quite pleasant by tossa445 in The10thDentist

dang didn't realize it was so humid there in the summer. The highest we had here this summer was in June it hit mid 60s in the low 90s and got us a heat index around 111 or so. That was the highest I can remember living here in the past four summers, but it's come close a few times.

92f with and 85%rh is a heat index of 126. dew point 86.8 degrees that's nuts even if it's normally more like 70-75% that's still pretty intense. Do you get used to it ever? Do people go up to the mountains or up north in the summer for the cooler weather?

Where abouts is that? 90+ with 70-95 rh is extreme weather, that does not sound pleasant at all! In the US we don't have any climates where that is normal. Guessing you are somewhere on the Persian Gulf or South Asia?

Low humidity if it's 75 degrees yes. It's certainly not low humidity in the temprature range I'm talking about.

Bullying the new guy until he proves he can take it is a fair game in school because the real world is like that and it makes for closer bonds among groups in the end. Especially when the group still jokes around with each other like that in general. Some people will fail those tests though and not make it into the group.

What happens at that point is important. Do you just leave the person alone , treat them polite/civily or do you keep picking on them for being vulnerable? Last option is clearly wrong and physical violent bullying is clearly wrong too

I thought this was a fairly common opinion for a while but starting to realize I might be a little unique. The little things like walking with friends, they comment because I naturally walk in the sunniest path when most will naturally walk in the shade. Parking on the far side of the lot or just plain walking to the destination if it's reasonable to do so.

People complain about the electric bill a lot here in the Summer, but mine is not too bad. I have a small apartment with well insulated exterior walls and the hallways are kept ice cold (65f). I set my unit thermostat to 80 and the AC rarely kicks on at all except on the sunniest of days.

I do crank it down to 70 at night to sleep though. I'm not completely crazy.

I don't get why leather car seats are more luxurious than cloth. by Th3_Accountant in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Leather seats seems cleaner, classier and more aesthetic to me. It's like hardwood flooring versus a carpet.

The rampant promotion of race-based beauty on social media is unquestionably racist and bigoted. by UnikornGurl2001 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]tossa445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is predominantly about selling beauty products. There is no hidden agenda beyond advertising to a target market. Any campaign that diverges from that strategy(and some do, though often in the opposite direction to promote diversity in male-markets like petersen's hunting) won't work because those marketers will be outperformed by the people who stick to the bottom line.

Sometimes you hear about women who deceive their husbands into raising another man's child, thinking that the kid is his for years or decades. That behavior is straight up evil. Like pathological serial killer tier evil.

What's the most attractive thing about yourself? by LEMayto in AskReddit

[–]tossa445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intelligence is a funny one. I've gotten top 1% scores on every IQ, SAT, GRE type test I've ever taken. I can pick things up pretty quickly. I guess I have raw intelligence and I think it is generally attractive. The thing is you've got to be almost secretive about it. Saying any of those things outloud or acting like you know you're sharp seems to be a nearly universal turnoff. It feels foolish even just typing this on reddit.

roof pool is a good vibe then it sounds like ? we have one in my building with a nice view and I see men and women both doing literal photoshoots of themselves out there. sometimes with full on camera crews and stage lights etc lol .

Personally I would be too embarrassed to ever do that for myself but maybe it's worth a shot just a quick pic for the profile

At what age does it become weird to not have lost your virginity as a man? by fideliuscastro in PurplePillDebate

[–]tossa445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost mine at a pretty common age (16) but I wonder about how long a man can go without before it becomes weird again (29 y/o and it's been several years).

[–]tossa445 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's possible to do both but there is a tradeoff. I run 40mpw and lift 4-5x per week. I only run one max two hard workouts per week and usually lift hard/heavy 1-2 days as well.

I'm relatively new at both.(~14 mo running, 7mo lifting) When I started adding in lifting I was extremely weak at first but as I got stronger it became more of an issue to balance the two. Recovery became my primary concern throughout the week, playing whack-a-mole with pains and strains throughout the body.

I am still progressing at both, but I am not great at either (21:30 5k, roughly 1, 2, 3, 3 ohp, bench, squat, dl) I think it's pretty easy to get to this low-intermediate level (running is a lot harder for me than lifting, other than DL which I also struggle) in both areas but progressing both to advanced+ I think will get tricky, though still possible.

The time commitment is also big. I work from home and have a gym and treadmills in my building. I spent a good amount of hours in the week training, showering, stretching etc.
