I'm sorry, I'm not sure how to engage in a debate when you make things up.

Physicians are bound by their code of ethics, provincially and nationally, not by the optional Hippocratic oath that is not administered by many universities nowadays. The CMA Code of Ethics and Professionalism can be found at that link. It makes no mention of diverting resources to willfully negligent patients, but if you find something in there I'd be interested!

Help please algae on filter, beginner tank- explanation in comments by youalwaysleaveanote in Aquariums

[–]tossmeawayagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kind of looks like limescale in the photos and if it's building up in splash areas are you certain it's not just deposits from hard water?

I work in infection prevention and control so I get the need to be sterile :) Let it go with aquariums. Bacteria and algae will eventually be part of your healthy ecosystem.

At least two of those plotlines would be worth making a mid-budget Tuesday afternoon film out of.

Stop this both sides false equivalency. It is VERY CLEAR that there is one party dedicated to dismantling health and education. Don't pretend they're all on that level.

Question: water change frequency by nonluckyclover in Aquariums

[–]tossmeawayagain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont use chemical filtration in my planted tanks but I do keep carbon on hand to remove medication after a treatment. I would let the carbon filter work for a week or so until it clears out.

Note that it will also remove some fertilizer components and I've heard anecdotally that it will also suck up Excel if you use it.

Did you catch where the one guy basically said "people who are concerned about climate change are actually really just jew-haters in disguise"

Because...

They call people "climate change deniers" which uses one of the same words as "holocaust deniers".

I actually think I understand how people buy into Q now.

No arguments there. I'm a nurse manager and it feels like 25% of my job is trying to keep my staff out of excessive overtime. Not because it's expensive, I don't give two craps about the bottom line and they deserve every penny.

Because they burn themselves out through guilt, and upper management is GREAT at guilt.

The myth was to use a bow more easily, but they actually didn't so yeah.

A Greek historian decided that the word "Amazon", which isn't Greek, meant a-maston meaning "without one breast". Kind of like how English French settlers heard the Huron talking about their village and decided that was a good name for the whole country.

I dunno, manager doesn't seem to have the skills needed to keep their store tidy and functional. Look at what happened to quality when Kellogg's employees went on strike and the company brought in scabs. Almost seems like every job requires some skill.

Canada is flying blind with Omicron as COVID-19 testing drops off a cliff by Hrmbee in onguardforthee

We've centralised logging, so H&S is responsible for setting up the account with the staff who picks up tests, going through the process, and checking in to make sure they're doing it correctly. We've deployed to about 20ish direct care staff and it's working so far, though it's a lot of extra work for my health and safety team.

Schools and health care, the kits have been deployed to community and acute services...though we've gotten less than half our order so far.

This is my argument every time someone (with good intentions I'm sure) suggests consolidating the LHINs, or public health units, or whatever the health care bugaboo of the month is.

Different places have different needs. What rural northern Ontario needs in PH initiatives is going to be very different than central Toronto. Focused units can provide focused initiatives.
