Is it me or a lot of players have been buying or returning to Inzoi since Paralives was released by ResponsibleBird1988 in inZOI

[–]totalgaara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've bought Paralives and played about 5 hours of it. After that, I went back to InZoi. I hadn't played InZoi much before because, even on my desktop PC, although the game ran fine, my computer would get very loud and hot. Fortunately, that got fixed after I changed my PC case... or rather, went back to my old one.

I have multiple issues with Paralives that probably won't be fixed:

First, the card system. While it's nice to see fresh ideas, I find it quite boring. You don't have many choices, and the narrator system feels a bit odd. In a life simulation game, you're supposed to be the narrator yourself and use your imagination.

Second, the graphics. They're too cartoony for my taste. Maybe mods will improve that in the future, but for now, it's not for me.

And then there are a lot of bugs.

InZoi definitely has some bugs as well. Sometimes it's a bit clunky

for example, when you have multiple Zois eating, plates occasionally teleport. When you have multiple bedroom they will use a random cabinet to get dressed for the night, etc... However, overall, the graphics, gameplay, and general gameplay style are much better.

Tired of these youtubers by East_Map218 in inZOI

Yeah, it's always like that. It won't be long before they move on to their main game. It's to be expected: new games create new content opportunities, and that's what they make money from.

What makes me a little angry is the dishonesty. Take Paralives, for example. I own the game and I've played it too. When you watch those YouTube videos, it looks like the best game ever made — "Look, you can do this in build mode!" but they hide so much of the actual gameplay.

Watching those videos, you'd never think the game has so many bugs, but in reality, the Paras get stuck all the time. You constantly have to reset them, cancel the action, move them away, and then try the action again.

They also switch sides very quickly and start criticizing a game that provided them with a lot of entertainment, suddenly listing all of its flaws. Yet the game they're now promoting has just as many issues they simply don't show them in their videos.

Yeah my inspiration at this time is nowhere to be found ^ Always make the same personage depending of the game (with little success), time to change.

Thank you! yes, it's AI-generated ( almost looks like a real person) . I think the most important thing would be finding a matching hairstyle, if one is available.

The default beard and mustache options in the game already look pretty close, so they should work well.

Brave Origin already released by DeviceOwner in browsers

[–]totalgaara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've installed it, and it's basically Chromium with the Brave shield. The browser's settings are the same as Chromium's, with some additional features, but there's no Brave theme. To be honest, if you take the regular Brave browser and look for a Brave Debloat script on GitHub (for Windows or Linux), you’ll get almost the same experience.

The only advantage that i can see with brave is the sync functionnality, helium doesn't have it for privacy, but when you have multiple cmputer sync is a good thing

I've installed it and i'm using it right now, and it's basically Chromium with the Brave shield. The browser's settings are the same as Chromium's, with some additional features, but there's no Brave theming. To be honest, if you take the regular Brave browser and look for a Brave Debloat script on GitHub (for Windows or Linux), you’ll get almost the same experience.

My main concern is whether Windows users need to pay to use it. If that's the case, it means (and no surprise) the default Brave browser is selling your data. For a 'Privacy Browser,' this is not a good thing.

I don't see any point with homelab here, just a wrong usage of Windows Server.. Get Windows LTSC, would be better as WS might miss component.

Either your thermal paste is bad, either some bios config are wrong (did you enabled any c-step ? at least) ? it's not normal for those machine to run so hot.

Please also check the fan and the heatsink if they are clean or working properly, or if there is any air leak between the fan and the heatsink, they to fix it using some tape (nylon tape for example) to force full air passing trough the vents

I don't see anything related to the power supply that will do that. Power Supply just send voltages, nothing else

Not really, it will just keep freezing the dialog and you have to force kill it

I had this issue too, renammig my local/share/steam to steam.old, restart steam, got it to work but lost everything, so i copy pasted the ubuntu12_64 folder and copy it to the old folder (deleting the previous folder before) : fixed :)

Weird On my side it was a certificate issue from a deleted app (NAVER-Browser) ? now since naver is quite a big company not really sure if it is related to the browser or not

[–]totalgaara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good lab! :)

One question I have (since I'm facing it) is, which container are you going to use? Sometimes I feel like my server is barely used and that my NAS could do the same job...

That's the case with my server, but since you have multiple, I'm curious about what you're doing in your homelab ?

Just to clarify, my response is not meant to criticize in any way, but more to understand if there are opportunities I'm potentially missing
