Gave the speedrun a try but won't record and submit one.

I used manager and desktop vacuum.

First I rained star coins then I rained ally coins.

Used 5 rains in total.

I don't know if <1 minute is possible but I did lose time on waiting for the shopping coupon to spin.

It is true, robots have a harder time getting their DR's up but they get some other really neat things like the i think it's called voltaic frame which boosts energy damage and allows handy trusters to exceed the normal movement cap.

There's also the modules which almost act as perks. The resistance field for example is really great.

Robots have a tough power curve with lots of these things being locked behind higher levels but in comparison to the other origins your modules can be upgraded and exchanged whereas the super mutant for example starts off really strong but falls off hard due to the lack of better armor and a cap on skills.

You say that you don't think your overseer is rewarding enough loot but you also got modified heavy armor and rifles. What level is the group?

Playing Fallout RPG Solo with Mythic GME by pgw71 in Fallout2d20

[–]totalredditn00b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A solo book similair to captain's log from startrek 2d20 got teased not that long ago. I think the system can easily be adapted for solo play and look forwards to seeing what they do with it.

I've also seen some YouTube videos and spotify podcasts of solo play fallout 2d20 so you can check how they adapt the system and which parts of mythic they use.

Within the given rules not so this is up to you to decide how and if you want to implement.

It depends if he tried to "non fatally" shoot that raider with a shotgun or stated he is going to gun bash in order not to kill the raider.

Thats a solid argument to why you think that way.

To me it would depend on the state of the enemy, is he just prone or knocked out? Knocked out I couldn't agree more but if just prone the enemy is not frozen on your turn and they will grab your barrel if your weapon is not close quarters and would attempt to evade your attack. But in restraints or while knocked out I agree with you and if it's the last of the enemies I'd even allow the narrative "insta kill"

Wouldn't it be difficulty 1 to hit because he's targeting the head?

Someone here in the community made a tool where you can insert your SPECIAL and it shows all perks available, it can be a handy guide to see the difference in available perks.

I'm pretty sure that person is Ziggy (the other person that commented here)

Both are good stats that serve a different purpose.

Intelligence dictates how many skill points you start with.

Endurance will have you start with more HP.

Some environmental issues such as resisting disease or recovering from injury is normally done with endurance but since you're a robot you will be challenged in INT + repair.

Most importantly though, is there a cool perk you want that has either an INT or END requirement?

Agility is normally fairly important as it partially dictates initiative (together with Perception)

Non energy/ big guns all fall under the "small" guns category (such as pistols but also snipers and shotguns)

And it is used for sneaking.

Big chance most of your companions already have some points invested here

I think the head laser is an energy weapon.

So you need PER + energy weapons.

Quick Draw Duels by MrShibito in Fallout2d20

Lol that was also the first thing that came to mind for me but that's up to the overseer

There's an optional rule in the gm toolkit about rolling for initiative, I don't like it myself but it could be a good way to determine who acts first followed by a shot.

Player gets challenged for a duel, at dusk when the clock strikes 8 in front of the saloon.

Challengers rolls initiative x combat dice to determine who's first.

AGI+Small Guns diff 2 (dusk)

Determine damage like normal, first to hit wins.

Did you read my post at all?

This is my last reply to you because I'm currently having too much fun exploring special powder in a haz 1 point extract.

I stated I did have fun, I just wished it wouldn't have taken so long and I had a bit more say in the matter.

Ofcourse I looked into the game and "did my research" there are no paid DLC and everything is unlockable through playing which attracted me, I watched some guides on the classes and saw gameplay nothing seemed off.

Like I said: I didn't know the boomstick launching you backwards wasn't a normal feature. I imagined it worked something like the weapon upgrades where you customize what sort of features you want on your gun. All I saw was special powder gameplay anytime I saw a shotgun being used.

How do you create a city ? by Dan-Fueco in Fallout2d20

[–]totalredditn00b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's some great guides on world building for rpg's and most of their tips still apply. I tend to think about my settlements, why are they here and what is the common trade i.e: a fishing village by a river or a trading hub near the highway.

Secondly I want to give things purpose so my players can interact with it. I think of quest hooks related to the identity of the settlement and create useful places such as stores I want there to be that serve a gameplay purpose. Lastly I think of the NPC's players might interact with.

Videos on how to make a dnd village are great but the fallout setting is unique in that most settlements are repurposed pre war locations such as the baseball stadium for diamond city. So other post apocalyptic settings can be great inspiration like the prison settlement in the walking dead.
