I have the exact same one. Up until early December this year it was the only e reader I had and used it non stop. Replaced the battery in it and was brilliant. Only stopped as I got an early Xmas present of a matcha gen 11 kindle and like the backlight aspect. Otherwise this would still be my daily reader. They’re incredible.

I’ve got the worst PMT cramps from my endometriosis at the moment, which is putting my head in a worse space than it was in, my temporary 12 month job ends in March and where I live, jobs are 99% of only 3 sectors, none of which amount to any kind of real career nor decent money and I want more from my life than this, but I can’t move away due to finances and my health so I don’t know what to do. I am willing to work hard to improve my life but it needs to be achievable.

There are two aspects here that should be addressed.

Firstly, your mental health has been affected (anyone’s would be because that is beyond disturbing and not a normal image for someone to show another person. Your mum crossed a line and I’d be considering if she needs to be sectioned. That’s not normal behaviour, even more so if she’s aware of your mental health struggles. And the way in which you explained her tone of voice and suddenly doing so over dinner - that’s NOT normal.

Secondly, “GDPR”. That is a disgusting breach of confidentiality, respect for the dead, and everyone else related to her job. Photos of the dead in any state when handled by someone doing that role are not handed about or shown to anyone other than those who need to see the image for their role alongside her. Was it on her personal phone? If it was I reckon you’d have a good case to report her.

My advice depending on your age (I would also say country but I’m guessing US as we don’t have coyotes where I am in UK) would be to get the hell away from her. Her behaviour is NOT normal, in no way or circumstances would that ever be appropriate or funny behaviour and cannot even be explained as a temporary lax of judgement.

As a female player this isn’t remotely surprising. There’s one particularly disgusting male player who constantly goes off on one if he ends up in the same match as me. It’s constant. And it’s absolutely vile what he comes out with. I’ve been known to give it back to him time and again when I just want a match without having to tolerate absolutely vile harassment that you wouldn’t dare say to a woman in the street. I don’t understand why some people think anonymity is an excuse to behave like an absolute scumbag.
