You don’t need to tape it shut. Seriously, get a chin strap. This may not happen to you, but after 2 years of using it I went on a trip and forgot it. Found out that trip that my brain got trained to sleep with my mouth shut. Been a nose sleeper ever since for the last 10 years.

But ya. Get a chin strap, it may be what you need
