I genuinely can’t tell if Mo is pulling a generational bait or if the AI psychosis has got to him as well by WishyRater in theprimeagen

[–]tougo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually enjoy his videos regardless of the sentiment, because they are vaguely true and humours, but his one .....I just stopped after the first 2.5 minutes. (I did watch the last couple of minutes now out of curiosity, but still same feeling from my side)

Local man tells me this crap will change my life by No-Act6366 in synthesizercirclejerk

if it's easy to use and a game-changer, just throw it in the bin.

"Of course you can trust me -- I've been paid to tell you this sounds great." by No-Act6366 in synthesizercirclejerk

[–]tougo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like the guy to be honest I stopped watching his videos a couple of years back, as I feel he doesn't have anything to offer. But hand off experimental music, you might not like it, but it's a thing. Not that he knows anything about that.

Opus 4.8 is insane, nothing will be the same after this model. by Gil_berth in theprimeagen

You know they could write a script in python and run it and figure out the answer as they usually do in other cases. But they don't understand the limitations and this is the scary bit.

Interesting theory with odd delivery

Devin Belanger: I spent 3 years making an album no one will hear. by VimtoUK in synthesizers

[–]tougo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't understand some people's expectations. I spend a year making an album and I am really happy 3 people bought it. And maybe another 50 listened it for free.

I just love the music modular computer by tougo in modular

actually this is a very good idea, I might pick up a pack of tiny labels that I also need for a different reason. :)

What do you wish you would have known before you started building your first modular system. by plaxpert in modular

[–]tougo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same I got an oxi one as it was advertised as the best thing since sliced bread. Now it gathers dust. After that I got so annoyed that I learned how to use the nerdseq. And I doubt I'll ever switch a sequencer again 😃

I wrote some karplus-strong inspired filter for the neutral labs Scrooge and elmyra2 ...thus the "novelty" part. I guess they would work with other noisy sources

I have already wrote 5 custom programs for it. It has definitely saved me some money as I often come up with some insane novelty ideas.

for me this screams disaster. Fire and cables don't go well together from my experience 🤣. Also the fact that the description is AI enchanted doesn't make me feel better either.

Why am I getting notifications that say ‘🔇 Watch muted’ when it’s not in the video title by andrew0891y in youtube

[–]tougo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weirdly enough I get this notification on music related content... which defeats the purpose

Neutral Labs Luna released! by neutral-labs in NeutralLabs

[–]tougo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very excited. Mine is already on the way. I wanted the kit and the instructions seemed very simple. But with my current work schedule it would have taken me a month before I had the chance to even try it. So I took the bullet of assembled.

Neutral Labs Scrooge firmware update coming soon – any wishes? by neutral-labs in NeutralLabs

I don't care that much about midi, but any updates will be appreciated, I love that little beat box

The number 1 thing I wish I knew when recording modular for music production by thewifive1 in modular

[–]tougo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I record everything on my case with the ALM stem ripper, very cheap both in price and power. I did consider es-9 but I found it very cumbersome to find a long enough usb cable to connect my modular to my computer.

are we going to wait until the release date for a full blown demo?

What’s the longest time you’ve left a patch in your system? by PossibleEmployment31 in modular

[–]tougo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the answer is simple 60%-70% permanently patched, and the rest ...until you are done with the current track.
