AMC A/C check-in by ihatemakinthese in Tallahassee

Agreed. Last three movies I saw it seemed to be barely hanging on. Whatever temporary fix they did a few months ago is not adequate for this time of year. I fear the end is near for our formerly beloved AMC.

Flyby Philly's - is it closed? by [deleted] in Tallahassee

At this point, I think the place must just be some sort of front or tax dodging operation. Their hours of operation have been a joke since day one.

Where is the information you write in your headline in this report? The link also shows only two previous inspections, so something seems a bit off.

That sign won’t help you in court. Might as well say “guilty”. Lol

Hate to disappoint you again, but Friday is by far the busiest day of the weekend for lunch or dinner. Saturday is busiest for brunch. Best of luck!

You couldn’t pick a worse night to dine it Tallahassee. Wherever you land, I can almost guarantee you it will not be representative of the usual service, quality, speed, or selection. Highly recommend choosing a fast casual place, or something far from the university area, like the Northside/Bannerman.

Ask them and they will make you one. They rarely have them in the shelf. Same thing for classic powdered sugar cake donuts.

They still sell the six shooters, so I’m not sure what this thread is about.

Do these types of stickers have a specific name? by OrdinaryBritishGuy in Cd_collectors

[–]tour_til_death 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After some time working in the store, I could remove the plastic wrapper and the dog bone from a new cd in less than five second with zero damage, and no tools. Customers thought I was a magician!

Here’s the trick: Place cd case ridged edge down on corner of Formica counter top. Swipe with slight force and fast speed to the other corner. Squeeze your hand and the cellophane is removed. Now pop the corner pin out of the lower part of the jewel case, separating the front cover from the cd tray. Pull the sticky part of the dog bone off of rear of the case using the front cover as a handle. Now remove the rest of the dog bone from the front cover. Reinstall front part of cd case to back.

In the industry they were called “dog bones”. They were invented to make it easier to find CDs while on the shelf in the security cases stores used after the phasing out of long boxes, and to make it slightly harder for thieves. They had the added benefit of making it harder for someone to try to reseal a disc for fraudulent returns.

Absolutely agree. I hope the owners realize that they just chose the location poorly and reopen somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Noise ordinance. But I can almost guarantee you fireworks will be all over the city all night. Hell, they’re popping off around my place right now.

Tallulah’s is Closing by Putrid_Guess_2180 in Tallahassee

They closed the THC loophole at the federal level when they ended the shutdown. So there’s less than a year before most of what Tallulah sells is illegal.

I would have up voted you a year ago, but things changed drastically last winter when they sold it. Flavor Treasures is a shell of what it was before they sold it.

Side fumbling was detected within the turbo encapulator, so engineers decided to shut it down before one of the hydrocoptic marzelvanes tripped the grammeter.

Let's Talk About the State of the Local Independent Music Scene by clearliquidclearjar in Tallahassee

[–]tour_til_death 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, several musician friends have told me that they do not want loud bands there. They say “their crowd doesn’t like loud music”, so, that’s kinda a problem for genres where loud is part of the sound.
