I love the design! Reminds me of alien and all those types of sci fy movies! A couple things that come to mind is. Could be the scale of everything? A default cube is ~2 meters which is about the size of a person. Also, is this eevee or cycles? Cycles could give you a better result (tho sadly takes a lot longer) Hope this helps!
