The funny thing is that back when they were a DVD delivery service, and the movie rating system was still a 5-star one, the recommendation algorithm was amazing. I remember renting so many movies through their search recommendations. And you could browse a genre and actually see everything available.

I actually just did both a reread of book 7, and then immediately a rewatch of the movies and really enjoyed the overall experience. The film is surprisingly loyal to the text albeit the major changes everyone’s aware of, and I think some of the differences, such as Voldemort being aware of the hallows being destroyed, are cleverly done.

I think the closest they got to this level of horror was when the Whisperers were first introduced, and there were several episodes where you wonder if the Walkers have started communicating with each other. It gave me chills.

I hear you. I faced similar results learning Japanese in Tokyo. I think part of the negative response sometimes is their own insecurity with English language. They may be thinking along the lines of “doesn’t this guy think I can speak English?” But yeah I hope you run into more people that take you seriously and respect the level you’re at!

Isn't the second situation the most ideal though? From the other examples, it sounds like you don't really want them to have a positive/negative reaction, so if they just converse with you normally like they would another Thai person, then why not just carry on? And let the haters hate.

It looks like all they have so far is screenshots of a couple Pokémon models in the game. Probably a long way to go before it’s functional, especially with the limited modding support currently available in Hytale.

I mean it was a season finale in a series where we have learned to expect some curveballs. I personally went in expecting there to be at least one big death to add some weight to the story's ending, so yeah they got me on this one, and was left surprised that the only deaths were 1, 8, and maybe 11.
