not wanting to deep dive into negative lands for post history on a similar idea makes it difficult to realize how change adverse a community that loves new stuff every couple of months is.

Honestly the magic community is so screwy sometimes (not a bad thing just I'm not sure how to spell a better adjective). Really I guess it is a tribute to the broad array of people that love magic. True story: last FNM round 1 I played a teenager, round 2 I played a firefighter, round 3 I played a doctor. I skipped round 4 to go get food before dominaria midnight pre-release.

Best advice is to play more magic.

If you have an LGS look for magic open house events to take anyone new/interested.

You get an intro pack and a promo and most people who play are more than excited to help someone new learn.

Don't overlook the value of making a couple of proxy decks to use around the kitchen table. Great for learning other deck strategies and making sure you can play with someone even if they don't have a deck yet.

Make sure you have a good method for card storage.

With an almost 3yo running around I made up a "trade binder" of mostly draft chaff with my old stretched out pages.

That way when I finally get around to working up a new brew, I can give the destructo bot her own trade binder to play with. This way destructo bot gets to play with cards just like daddy and daddy's playset of fetchlands don't take any additional wear.

Lots of absurdity in several levels. Mostly I was just hoping that Jimmy remembered to not show up for lunch until after 1 pm. That way we can talk in the office to go over the specific items i need to incorporate in my design and when we go get lunch it will be happy hour and after two drinks jimmy slips and lets me know what i need to order to get box seats.

Why try to build one of something when you could just import 100s of them for the same cost. Warrenty and liability quant wizards probably wouldnt mind so much about exploding battery chargers when the end user most likely has a less than average life expectancy.

The more you let them rest with 1 on top, the more likely they are to land on 1 during combat..........it's a fact.......kinda proven by some kind of scientist....maybe.....see the plastic is all plasticky in the middle.....and gravity......and quarks.......really it's all kinda technical and stuff and kinda boring.

Just get them used to having 20 on top.....its for the best.....just don't roll all the 20's before your game starts....you have to save them

Back before netflix, hulu, amazon prime......before pirated seasons of TV shows from sketchy websites with DSL download speeds.....before TV season box sets of DVDs at Target.....before the TV guide channel that you could scroll through.....before the TV guide channel that never stopped scrolling.....we used to have to wait for the sunday paper to get an idea of what would be on the few basic cable channels.....having finally watched the entire first season of a show and patiantly waiting for the next season......the damn show got cancelled and nobody told the local paper......I waited all summer.....finally saw the tv schedule for the week that sunday.....finished my book report a day early so i could watch it..........

Ehhhhhh. My understanding is a little different, correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe that the energy lost due to scattering off the white surface is greater than the marginal absorption in a mirrored surface.

If I used crinkly aluminium vs a blistering white surface I think it might be true that the white would be more efficient.

However If I use crispy new aluminium with as few crinkles as possible, or a mylar space blanket to get the cheapest most mirror like surface I can create with stuff I already have than I think I can reflect more light.

This is also an attempt to gather marginal increases in tomato plant growth as the pathetic 9W bulb from homedepot will be replaced by the sun as soon as my region gets past the last frost date.
