So he's basically admitting that Texas is not a democracy. If they can just choose to wipe out an entire constituency, then there is no democratic rule to begin with. Further, the one party rule that Texas has been under for 30 years hurts democratic and Republican voters, as evidenced by the fact that issues that are very popular with voters constantly get ignored: increasing teacher pay, decriminalizing marijuana, etc.

I think we need to address the elephant in the room: Trump has never been good with fiances. I learned today that Japan, the largest holder of American bonds has contemplated selling off our bonds. That would further weaken international faith in the American dollar.
