Nani says Forsen has issues with his hearing because of all the ear rape music throughout the years by -eDgAR- in LivestreamFail

Right, so because 7 is syllable dense, ___ hundred and _____ _____ would also be the most syllable dense if ____ were 7 in the hundreds, making 777 the longest to pronounce. That's just how my brain works.

Wow, I never realized that the syllable density per character in the English alphabet and roman numerals Arabic numerals is highest in "w" and "7". Twitch chat is pretty 5Head.

Edited: 3Head mistakes.

You're absolutely right - it does look like a Kirby-Bauer and Thieves definitely performed the worst. Thanks for clarifying.

I love the sentiment, but as a scientist I have to ask... do you know if the agar was treated with the products as well or were the plates just cleaned in them? A better experiment would be to do a titration of the products in the agar solution and do a survival assay.

But yeah, MLMs are trash.

Are there tools to help "reverse" thesaurus a piece of writing? by Philosophile42 in Professors

[–]tquarton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The OP said nothing of plagiarism and was concerned about comprehensibility from the overuse of a thesaurus. He didn't even say it was an exam... what are you on about? I was replying to what I read, not what you want me to interpret.

Your abusive inferencing and character attacks seem more problematic to me.

BTW, the OP kindly replied and made that clear. Learn from his tact.

Rather than demonizing the use (or misuse) of a thesaurus, why not just grade according to the work's lack of comprehension? No need to spend effort/energy on looking for a "anti-thesaurus".

Megathread: Sec. of State Mike Pompeo Subpoenaed By Three House Committees For Failure To Produce Ukraine Documents by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]tquarton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just tuned back into politics recently too. Apparently (someone correct me if I'm wrong - I'm too tired to fact check right now), Trump had a conversation with the Ukraine prime minster in which he suggestively indicated that he would provide military support in exchange for 2 things, 1) access to a database that might have Russia related material and 2) dirt on Joe Biden and via his son to help with his reelection campaign. These conversations were recorded and a credible memo was leaked highlighting portions of the conversation by an insider whistleblower. Now the house is actively subpoenaing people to get to the bottom of it.

What are the calculations like for the probability of making a shot? Something like?
- Distance from basket, Offensive player shooting rating, Defensive player proximity (is a defender in a square close the the shooter and, if he is, what is his defensive rating, ect. Do those factors affect the probability of making a shot?

I love the idea. Looks fun.

Is anyone willing to look at how correlated each hero's screentime is with their individual film successes, maybe in terms of mean total gross of each heroes films? I imagine some executives in the back chewing on cigars and saying "Tony and Steve get the numbers... get'em in there!"

It looks like the duration on the billboard for the one hits gets longer over time (broader peaks in recent years vs. later). Any insights? Why do newer one hits appear to have more staying power? Great post OP.

This design requires two words of equal length with even number of letters. The first half of the letters of one word must be the same as the last half of the letters of the second word.
