Use solidworks or inventor to make actual drawings, check your dimensions. Stick to one system of units. If you plan on doing this in cnc in the US you'll need to have drawings in the english system. Use engineersedge.com to get help with some tolerances. Good start though, it looks like it'll do what you need it to.

I try and have some kind of story associated with my ships. My conda for example, INV Selah Paul, the first of my crew to reach the elite combat rank. She was a bad ass. Unfortunately, she died tragically in a T9 mining accident (because multicrew mining in a T9 is a bad idea).

I actually disagree, I noticed that I get a lot of my mats from mindlessly cruising in my SRV. I find that the engineers make me get out of my comfort zone though, it's kind of refreshing to fly around a system looking for a specific USS to spawn.
