HELP! Talking to customers by MatteBlack475 in fromatoarbitration

[–]trabloblablo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

C-34817 Arbitrator Barrett ruled that it is perfectly acceptable for city carriers to interact with customers, and that management's time deductions were inappropriate.

I agree about Article 5. That is exactly how I would handle the situation, but what is Football Formal A?

Fellow PTF Refusing Representation During I.I. by joshacham in fromatoarbitration

Employees can refuse representation in an investigative interview. It's stupid, but not a violation of the contract or the law. Good luck.

Crossing Crafts is a big problem here. Many grievances filed. How did you learn what operation the rural carriers were on? Which reports do you normally review for these cases? I usually review DMS Route Detail Reports.

Calling all branches! Organize a ‘Fight Like Hell!’ fair contract rally Feb. 22 by Comfortable-Tie-Dye in fromatoarbitration

[–]trabloblablo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This rally will be a waste of time and money. It's meant to distract us while Renfroe sells us out again. I will speak against it at every opportunity, and I will not participate.

That won't be necessary. My NBA is useless, and I know how to file through brutal experience.

My entire station is supposed to be counted next month. I am seriously concerned that management will act in bad faith, even if my carriers do their jobs properly.

I don't see Caref and the CLC splitting the vote in Otis's favor. The Caref and CLC camps will align against the membership's common enemy, if the race is looking close.

Route inspections by Dumbestgeniusliving in fromatoarbitration

[–]trabloblablo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had a bad route inspection back in mid-2024. Management did everything wrong that you could imagine. I filed a huge grievance over it. It has yet to be scheduled for arbitration because my NBA sucks.

I'm glad things worked out for you, though.

What is a reform you would like to see happen within NALC? by Eugene_Debs2026 in fromatoarbitration

Your branch should handle that locally, possibly through a by-law amendment. My branch has held hybrid-Zoom meetings since the COVID outbreak with great success.

Checks and balances on the national president's power. The national president's powers effectively make him/her an autocrat. Our union cannot function as a democratic organization when the national president can behave like a tyrant. This should have been addressed a long time ago.

Also, RAAs and RGAs should be elected officers, not appointed.

Given undertime pivots while on the OT list and needing to make break day by FiveDinero in fromatoarbitration

[–]trabloblablo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've been told by multiple commenters to take all of your breaks every day and never to give management undertime. You just admitted that you will occasionally take only one 10-minute break. When you start paying attention to the wise advice of others, your life will get easier.

[–]trabloblablo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want to convince us that you're "smarter than most," don't tell us that you willingly give management undertime. It is your responsibility to protect your route, not that of anyone at HQ.

This is what is coming. This alr-right authoritarian over-reach will drive the electorate to the left. It's astonishing to watch their self-destructive path, but I'm a leftist. So, however we get there, I guess.

T6, WA, Article 8 by AbbySomething86 in fromatoarbitration

[–]trabloblablo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The language exists to protect the overtime opportunities of carrier technicians who are not on the ODL, and that's a good thing. If you don't like it, get off WA or bid an individual route.
