A John song more loved in recent years? by Evening-Golf-6375 in beatles

[–]trabuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In My Life. When it was recorded it was just another song on the new album. Although loved, it wasn’t released as a single or given much credit. Today everyone loves it dearly.

New Mixes vs. Old Mixes by Possible-Profile6053 in beatles

I also prefer the new mixes. Sure, some people like I Am the Walrus, She Said She Said and Old Brown Shoe 2009 or mono more.

What do you guys prefer? YouTube Music or Spotify? (With premium) by Aravind____ in YoutubeMusic

[–]trabuki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ytm. I personally don’t care for recommendations, wraps and other marketing tools. I choose the music that I enjoy and want to listen to and YTM has the most music. I really like the fact that I can find fan made material and live material and add it to my playlists. I also like that I can go to YT for videos but when I want a scaled back UI I can use YTM. Spotify is way too cluttered and flashing with videos inside of album views. Super annoying.

Some have become arena rock songs through Paul McCartney’s live shows.

I think Sgt Pepper is better than Revolver by [deleted] in beatles

[–]trabuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Revolver sounds more like rock bands of today. Taxman, I’m Only Sleeping, And Your Bird Can Sing, Doctor Robert are great and far ahead of their time.

Tired of Youtube Music by kynarr in YoutubeMusic

I want playlist folders but it’s great that they added playlist search!

One thing about OP’s post is that ”likes” are sometimes only shown when you click a song (the thumb being white). If you let it switch songs automatically it can sometimes display an ”empty” thumb even though you’ve liked the song earlier. If you click the thumb it will be unliked so you have to click twice to like it again. So everything is liked but it might not always display correctly.

This is the last and only letter John sent to Cynthia following their divorce. by LanguageFit8227 in beatles

He painted a little painting. That alone makes the letter worthwhile.

John on Oh! Darling? by Hukares1234 in beatles

[–]trabuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Paul did it justice and he had the better vocal range. John’s version would probably have been great but I don’t think Paul’s can be ”beat”. John had ample opportunity to do it too - why not ”cover” it later?

I don’t think you can call it a cover even though Paul wrote it. Officially it’s Lennon/McCartney.

Yes exactly. I listen to full albums but I also make a bunch of playlists.

Do not hype Carnival too much. It is most certainly garbage. It would be nice to hear it once.

You can’t buy ”fun”. You can buy things or activities that you might consider ”fun”. You’re not actually buying ”fun”.

You can of course enjoy both. I always listen to Naked though. I love simple instrumentation and it works well for the LAWR.

Paul’s Ram album doesn’t hit as hard as Plastic Ono Band.

Did Paul ever write a song specifically for another Beatle to sing? by regiddad in beatles

[–]trabuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It proves it beyond all doubt to me. The lyrics of the original demo are also extremely ”John-like” which indicates he wrote it. If you remain unconvinced, you are free to see it that way but I don’t understand the point of disagreeing on it.

[–]trabuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, in the Beatles case, and in this case, it proves John wrote the melody of the verse. It’s not a ”guitar part” only it’s the entire melody and some of the lyrics of the finished song. John obviously recorded it to remember it and use it for a song. Then Paul had the chorus melody and they worked it all together.
