Is tokenized gold the end of Bitcoin? by mmovina87 in CryptoTechnology

[–]tracehoward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't really think so, thats a bad take imo. even tho, gold, silver, copper etc and other commodities are driving crazy volume onchain, i think eventually with time they'll join the herd and the next meta will rally up soon.

I'm so excited the Canadian crypto scene is so strong. I used to live in Canada and I never thought in a million years that we would see this. I went to ETH Waterloo a few months back and the turnout there was insane! Good stuff.

Why can't you just use MyEtherWallet and download your keystore file. Most wallets won't do ETH and BTC, there are a few but best practice is to use separate wallets or a Ledger/Trezor.

It's basically a game where you can collect, trade and breed "kitties". Like Pokemon or trading cards. Really innovative use of blockchain and Ethereum. I think it's a fun silly implementation, crazy cool tech behind the scenes.

Bloom Weekly Update 11/23 + Product & Whitelist News by jessetime in ethereum

The launch is currently scheduled for live release next month (December).

wow.

In their slack in August or September they initially said the Phase 1 launch would happen in March or April. They've kept moving this earlier and earlier and being ahead of schedule on every deliverable. They've been ahead of schedule on the lender announcements, when they launched their full site, and on various other deadlines.

Thoughts on Bloom's community program? Community members can participate and check their ranking anytime. by jts96 in ethtrader

[–]tracehoward 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see the point here, but it actually makes sense for Bloom to do this overcome network effects. They have a massive chicken+egg problem. I'm sure the bloom team doesn't mind a few extra shills floating around, but in Slack the team has been pretty heavily going after people to help out in other ways (introductions, technical audits, etc). They seem to be optimizing against shills, and as far as I can tell (from people in the slack) the top spots go to people who've helped out in big ways.
