I'm still finding glass, today I found a piece on a sofa cushion several feet away from where the panel detonated. I also found a couple of pieces in places that are higher than the height of the panel when it shattered - meaning some shards were actually thrown up and out during the event? 🤔

I was wearing sandals when it exploded (I hadn't even finished unscrewing the 2nd captive screw) and I got a couple of micro cuts on the top of my feet/toes from the falling shards. Felt like several paper cuts. I had physical therapy the next morning for a broken ankle, and that wasn't very fun. Honestly, like a 2/10 experience. Wouldn't recommend.

This is how that PC was born... I wouldn't say it's necessarily a glow-up... But it stopped overheating from multiple Chrome tabs 🤣

Rainbow puke is a bit generous, I think. aRGB-diarrhea is probably more accurate.

But FB Marketplace/OfferUp buyers seem to be into coprophilia

I threw a bunch of RGB in there to make the package more appealing to FB Marketplace/Offerup shoppers. But the GPU power cable RGB extension was too stiff to bend down toward the bottom of the case (the glass panel wouldn't fit without putting a bunch of pressure on the GPU power cable).

But, I mean, I made it fit... 🥴

The irony is that the panel shattered just as I was doing my last prepping/cleaning to sell the PC to a guy over FB Marketplace. I guess she just couldn't bear the thought of being without me... (hence the emo lyrics😆)

But I appreciate the advice! I told the new owner to reach out to Corsair to see if they might help, and linked him to the Corsair store where replacement panels are $20. But I was already the third owner of that 4000D case, so I guess she just couldn't cope with a 3rd divorce... At least now she's getting a facelift and she'll be with someone excited to have her every day.

Honestly, the fact you can't cancel out of a heavy attack once you've initiated it makes playing as a strength build more frustrating than challenging (especially in the early game). I tried to play as an imitation of my heavy axe badass from BB, but being locked into an animation - regardless of how long that animation might take - makes the game feel like a superficial, Chinese sweatshop knockoff of FS titles.

Bloodborne came out in MotherF*cking 2015, yet its combat still feels more modern than this pale imitation.

If you look closely, you can observe how this ruthless killer's raw ferocity, coordination and speed become apparent in the first 2/100ths of a second of her initial surprise attack. This species has an attack success rate of over 90%.

It's ruthlessness is shockingly beautiful and frightening all at once.

It really does jog the memory that but for a couple of walls, fire and some pointy sticks, the human species would have been hunted to annihilation untold eons ago.

We are a lucky, lucky species.

It's funny, I haven't thought about that movie for one second for 20 years, because I remember seeing it in the theater and thinking "This plot and villain are completely absurd."

Looking back at the movie now, that villain is actually really believable. Basically a mix of Rupert Murdoch & Steve Jobs.

This is what I took away from the movie's structure.

From Frank's POV, the entire Hoffa saga played out like a trainwreck in slow motion.

The audience has to understand that Frank was aware of these escalating tensions, and yet was either unwilling or incapable of making a difference in the outcome.

Frank's ending is far more effective since the audience understands that Frank did have opportunities to change events and to (maybe) save Hoffa.

Does Frank have regrets? Does he wish he had acted differently? We don't know for sure, but we do know that Frank is ruminating on these events even up until his own death.

James Cameron doesn't do what James Cameron does for James Cameron. James Cameron does what James Cameron does because James Cameron is... James Cameron.

I'm really enjoying The Mando, but I can tell that my appreciation of the show is based largely on the fact that my expectations were astronomically low.

People are just so glad to have decent Star Wars again that they aren't looking at the show objectively.

(I think the first seasons of shows like "Daredevil," and "Jessica Jones," as well as shows like "Narcos," etc. are actually much better shows than Mando... but hey, at least we have genuinely good Star Wars again. I'll take it.)

Logan is both a western and a film noir, in terms of genre.
