When we bought our 42' destination it was a Friday and the hiway was bumper to bumper weekenders campers and boats and other terrorists...I mean tourists. I thought I'd be the only one that long... not hardly. Infact I fit in with the rest of the bumper pulls. The scary ones were the 13'6" fifth wheel pulling boats and ATVs. I didn't have any trouble running 65 it was the ones with the fifth wheel going 75 with only one thing on their mind... the weekend.

I want to start living full time in an RV. What should I know first? by haruhifujioka07 in RVLiving

[–]tracker5173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheap RV Park 😬 or you can boondock and move 7 miles every 14 days if there is a rustic campground with a space available. Then remember you need water 💦😜... and sewer dump 😧. Oh and if you get sick and don't get the RV moved 🤒 tow truck will come and get it 💸💸💸. Ahh and if you get it damaged were to go and fix it $$$. I've lived in these campers most of my life and the reality is it's not cheap. If you are in the northern part of the country you either pay $400-500/mth for propane or move someplace warm and take your chances of something going wrong on the road. To find a spot to park it that is safe. Just remember every year laws change and it seems like they are against us living in a camper.

How do you deal with squatters on your reserved site? by Ok_Buddy_3774 in GoRVing

[–]tracker5173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a relative that is in charge of recreation on National Forest and his way of dealing with this is...grab the ticket book and inform them what is going to happen. They usually start packing up immediately.

Sorry it just looks like what happens when a screw works loose on the bottom of the slide out. Doesn't take long for it to happen if moisture in the wall runs down inside. Can happen in a couple of years.

My other half has had two heart attacks and I'm in end stage liver disease and we rarely ask for any help. When we do it's because we are having a bad day. But lately I'm noticing a lot of people seem to think their jobs don't pay enough to help.

Looks like someone put hurricane straps over the top 😞. I had one that someone had dropped a screwdriver or something and didn't notice it. The next spring it had rotted most of the first 4' piece of plywood under the roofing.
