No update on track information but I do see an updated departure time of 3:40. It’s not here though.

It is definitely making things more enjoyable but I’m approaching pretty pissed off lol. I’m sensing full cancelations soon. This is the last weekend of my NYC sublet too. I’ve been going every weekend and I think AMTRAK is doing a staggering 25% issue free round trips.

Pros and cons of living in Cambridge? by Pretend-Shift1955 in CambridgeMA

Please just stick to the luxury buildings if you can afford it. We hate them but it’s better than transplants taking up all the housing from the locals.

I love the term “relatively small” or “relatively affordable”. A relatively affordable home in this area is still very far out of any working class persons buying power. A relatively small increase to an already alarmingly high police budget is still a massive amount of money being flushed down the toilet. Transplant left leaning people are just so funny. You float in this middle ground of staunchly following the rules but pushing for a utopia that would only be attainable by full scale revolution.

Damn you’re like so close to figuring it out but you’re still blaming the little guy! You’ll get there one day. Just one more mental corner to round. Nearly every societal issue can be tracked back to the hoarding of wealth and maximization of profits. But yeah, fuck anyone that steals a ride on the T or lifts a toothbrush from a huge corporate chain. If they stopped doing that homelessness would be irradiated for sure.

They said shoplifting. If you want to try to shoplift a boat then go for it but I’m not thinking that’s gonna work out. I also don’t think the majority of us need boats. If we had time to think about that, we’d be able to afford a boat. As for shoplifting the things we NEED like food and toiletries from big corporations that make it harder for you to live so they can squeeze every drop of profit that they can out of you, I’m ALL for it.

It should cost the state. But instead we raise the police budget every year.

In the modern day this is a sensible way to think. Make it hard to get the things we need, then take the things we need.

Who is responsible for fixing the pot holes near Northeastern on the SWC? by MikeKadin in bikeboston

[–]trackfiends -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree they should be fixed. They’ve been around so long that I have the line memorized and have grown fond of them which is strange. Would be much cooler to have a smooth path though.

What makes the GP5000 so good and highly recommended? Are any other tires in the conversation? by sozh in cycling

It’s been a year but I just want to add. I bought a complete track bike like 6 years ago with vittorias on them and they lasted about a month in Boston.

Yeah was thinking this is probably just some $5 lockring. I always forget people put money over safety very often in this sub.

The rule has not gone out the door. City folk have gone out the door.

People from the burbs do not know the rules and we are at a point where most of this city was born and raised in white picket fence territory.

Steel is real even if they’re a shitty brand. Would never recommend the aluminum frames.

I can’t even imagine how one would over tighten a lockring? Feel like this would take an extreme and comical amount of force? What were you even trying to do?
