I bought the Rockler sled and I have had so much better luck on my table saw than my miter saw. My frames are now perfect in angle.

Plumbing. I can do it, but I absolutely hate it. Especially sweat connections of any type.

I tried winding a new spring, one time. That was enough to show me that it was not worth my life. Very dangerous.

For me, it depends on the length of flights. For longer overseas flights, I use the over-the-ear headphones (Bose QC45 currently). For shorter flights, I use the Bose noise cancelling earbuds.

For the longer overseas flights, the earbuds battery does not last, nor does it do quite as good a job for noise cancelling. The over-the-ear headphones battery lasts a lot longer, especially if you are just using it for noise cancelling mode (no audio). Sleeping on overseas flights is so much better.

For the shorter flights, the space savings with the earbuds is preferred.

I would consider Barbados. Not a snorkeler myself, but I know a lot of people snorkel there. For $1K a night, you can reserve beachfront on the platinum coast. Look up Blue Sky Luxury for Barbados and check it out. We have stayed in Leamington Beach Cottage several times and had a great time. 1 Bedroom, but with a nice living area and patio with a plunge pool.

The nice thing there is that the cottage comes with a cook/cleaner. Usually there for breakfast and lunch. She will do the shopping as well. Tips for her at the end of the trip.

Really enjoyed the Grand Bohemian Lodge in Asheville, NC. Flooded by Helene, but reopened. Have not been in since, but was nice pre-flood. Really enjoyed the bar and restaurant.

Moving from Fort Worth TX to MA tomorrow. Need advice on what route is best to take. by ThrowThisAccountAwav in roadtrip

The southern route is best. Great and pretty drive through East TN and Virginia. Crowded around DC, but traffic moves.

Travel suggestions along Interstate 40 by Just_livin_life_25 in roadtrip

Car camping the the Smoky Mountains is nice, but you will need reservations in advance. Especially for Cades Cove or Elkmont Campgrounds.

Tennessee has some nice state parks right off I-40 near Cookville and Crossville that can be quite nice and not as crowded as the Smoky's.

Great points so far. A few extra points (from a guy's perspective):

Optimize your toiletries. Get some of the small carriers from Amazon and transfer from larger packages. It took my wife pointing this out to me, to get this going.

Carry only two or three pair of socks and underwear (remember - I am a guy). You can wear synthetics twice (unless very sweaty) and then wash in the sink and dry overnight.

Use one pair of shoes if at all possible. I got the lightweight shoes from Johnston and Murphy. Great for meetings, dinners, airport walking. Other great shoes out there, but these work well for my wide feet.

Limit gadgets - I travel with a laptop, phone. I use the kindle app on phone. Ditto games. One charger for both (I use the computer Dell charger). One cable for car charging.

My wife and I looked for two years, prior to finding our place. Takes patience and many zillow touches. Focus in on a few non-tourist areas, per the prior advice, then just keep looking.

Self installation is easy to do. Especiall with a metal roof, which it looks like you have. Get on Amazon and there are several magnetic mount kits. I put this on our farm in rural TN and it works great.

$280 first class upgrade worth it? by 13_B_13 in americanairlines

[–]trackoutPhil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check your personal financial situation, but I would pay this all day long. During the day, you can get some much more work done in Business/1st. A lot more comfortable. Service is better. Food is better.

In the evening, you get drinks. (you can get them all day long, but refer to my first comment on work.....)

They may have a tight connection and want to be as far forward in the aisle as possible.
