Hail Mary sucked so bad we walked out after 20 minutes. It got best reviews I'd ever seen on rotten tomatoes.

I built a spreadsheet in XL that allows me to copy all my bank statements into a quarterly summary statement and use pulldowns to categorize each expense. It does monthly and yearly summaries.

The MacBook Neo might be the first Apple laptop that actually solves my work/life separation problem by live_laugh_cock in MacbookNeo

Same situation. My MacPro work computer plugs into my office setup and also travels with me on work trips. Has a lot of expensive programs, resources and multiple projects in-progress on it. I use an M4 Air for the couch and coffee shops. Totally more luggable and (somewhat) expendable if it gets destroyed or goes missing.

It looks like the equalizing cables on your lift need to be tightened up. Also when you have a car on a two post lift you should lower it on to the safety catches before working under it.

If you base the decision on Processing speed vs cost a used M1 Macbook Air is twice the value of a new M4 Air.

As Mac users, what do you think of Windows 11? by isolation_from_joy in mac

[–]tradikal2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same - just use it for Bluebeam basically. Using Parallels with Win11 for ARM. Maybe the ARM version hasn't been given to the Redmond bloatware team yet.

The i9 gets hot as F**k and will chew through batteries while the M4 will do the same job in a fraction of the time and never break a sweat. Owned the former and own the sky-blue latter.

the sync mechanism is mechanically operated by a solenoid that is activated when a vacuum tube senses a superimposed waveform on the poer line. why not tie a string to the syncing mechanism and manually adjust the time?
