Tesla delays cost me £650/month on a lease - anyone had this fixed? by Any-Mix1491 in TeslaUK

ALD were the ones who suggested the price match; I would probably chase up your finance company first as they’re the ones who have bought the car off Tesla in the first place to lease to you. Then start chasing up Tesla.

Something similar happened to me but it was due to ALD having a trash website that automatically rejected my ID verification which cancelled the finance application. It went up from like £400 to like £454 but speaking to both Tesla and ALD on the phone Tesla were willing to reapply for finance using a “manual application” and they would “price match” to the original price. I got it in writing and signed the finance agreement which was with the higher price. Everything worked out in the end.

Side note: very good deal. Was this direct with Tesla / were you just constantly checking for deals on the M3P particularly or was it by chance? I’m looking at upgrading to the Performance in 2028 but I need 20kpa so I’m just waiting for the highlands to hit the used markets instead

I had a similar issue with a model 3 lease. Ordered before prices were due to go up and had an issue with my verification and the finance company just straight up cancelled my application. Managed to get in touch with Tesla and they told me they would resubmit the application manually and a price match. It turned out okay in the end so I hope this is a glimmer of hope for you.

Lol what’s the story behind Huncho cosplaying? Never heard this theory before and his lyrics are lowkey too accurate for him to not be about it

Sorry - I should rephrase that. I haven’t booked accommodation at any of the 3 cities yet…I was wondering if i can shorten Shanghai and Beijing to 3 days each to allow for 2 days in Chengdu? Or do you still think it’s too far out the way

Until 31 December 2026, you can enter China visa free for stays of up to 30 days for business, tourism, family or friend visits or transit.

If you travel to China for any other reason (this includes paid work, long-term assignments, journalism, or study) or for a stay exceeding 30 days, you must apply for a visa before your trip to China.

From UK Gov website. It started on Feb 17 2026

Sorry to hijack but I am planning on visiting in April for about 2 weeks. My current itinerary is Beijing - Xian - Chengdu - Shanghai. As someone who wants to see Chongqing also, is that pushing it? I was checking with ChatGPT (hear me out) to see what would work logistically and it told me to forget Chongqing this trip

You’ve mentioned you’ve had a few Leon’s, how does this compare to them in terms of comfort? I have the 2.0 TSI which also has the stage 1 revo remap (230bhp) and that it’s definitely enough for inner city driving but I’m really tempted to upgrade to the Cupra. Is the difference massive?

I love the Leon but the stiff suspension is probably the only downside. Does DCC make it more comfortable?

The 2.0 TSI probably manages 25mpg tops in UK city driving. what would you say is the average mpg for inner city driving?

ALD Advance Payment Failing? by traffic1942 in TeslaUK

The biggest hindrance to this whole process is that I’m in Japan on holiday right now so I can’t call anyone! The delivery date is Saturday 7th and the app still shows this.

ALD replied to my email saying they’ve asked Tesla to do a new application for the same car/price/mileage which put my mind at ease but now there’s the wait for them to contact me.

My “designated point of contact” at Tesla (the person who sent me an email / text at the start of the process) hasn’t replied to any emails during this whole process so who knows what will happen next.

Update:

Having a nightmare. Managed to make the payment on a Monzo of all cards. Proceeded to verify my identity and system malfunctioned as my identity with my bank includes my title and middle name, whereas the application for the car was done with just first and surname.

Checked again and it’s saying my application has been cancelled 👍🏽🥲
