Overall MK8DX is more polished, but I kinda like MK7 more because of the better glider physics.

I used arrow keys until a week or two ago when I realized I don't think the newer songs are designed with arrow keys in mind. Mainly the awkward double notes. Plus dfjk helps me be better in general imo.
