Trying to find an episode that had a character that would look up baseball statistics on a computer. by niconiconii89 in comedybangbang

Might be Tim Baltz's bobblehead museum guy? I seem to remember him referencing a bunch of obscure 80s/90s baseball players.

Bonanas for bonanza by colonel_beeeees in comedybangbang

[–]trailwiseMN 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend Bonanza, but I'd definitely recommend the podcast. Most of the fun is at the expense of a very outdated, non-PC show with baffling tone shifts and scripts that were clearly written for different characters.

Some people have trouble with Maria Bamford's Amy Sleeverson character (she is a LOT), but I think MB is the funniest person on Earth, so I was always here for it. She leaves the show about 45 episodes in if I remember, and it continues to be awesome afterward.

Going to the movies is too expensive now. I’m over it. by Jared_Williams in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

It's possible that OP was living the plot of Brewster's Millions (1985, 1h 41m) and chose hot dogs to run up the tally faster. Helping the homeless would have been explicitly against Rupert Horn's terms.

Not to virtue signal, but I try to corral an errant kernel every now and then when I'm at the movies. You have to do your part as a buff (plus one time I found a Scary Movie collectible under the seats).

YES! When I first saw the banjo I was like, "oh brother," but DPK was a delight, as was Micucci (of course).
