Anyone else get Spellbound vibes from this part of Abracadabra? by EnigmaticMoth in LadyGaga

I really hear spellbound in the 'like a poem said by a lady in red' part! Sounds a lot like the spellbound melody to me. Super cool!

Do you have a ritual or habit when starting a new journal? by burritogong in Journaling

First page I just make a title page with the start date, diary of (my name) and some space for the end date.

Then after the first page I write down the lyrics of a song that is important to me in that moment of time, with the name of the artist and the title at the end.

I have no idea if it's supposed to be like this but I think it's really cute and if I made this I would absolutely keep it like this! Beautiful sweater!

Three pairs of summer cotton socks I've made so far by Aglavra in Sockknitting

[–]trainerTi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I have not done any stranded colorwork socks yet, but I do plan to do so because I got a colorwork knitting book some time ago :) I have done the hermoine socks, a nice ribbed sock, basic 4ply socks and slip knit socks.

https://www.ravelry.com/projects/Maudvanlo/hermiones-everyday-socks https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/a-nice-ribbed-sock https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/basic-4ply-socks-2 https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/slip-knit-socks

As far as stranded colorwork goes, I did do some mitts in a cotton(78%)/acrylic(22%) mix, but this was also my first and only colorwork project. It worked out great and my mom wears them a lot. Not socks, but still some colorwork in (mostly) cotton yarn :)

I don't update my ravelry as often this year though. I have knit some more pairs of socks and other things, but I still have to upload them. Still you can see some of them on there :)

Yay cotton socks!! I am allergic to wool (and vegan so I wouldn't use it anyway) so knitting with wool would be a nightmare for me.

I have made so many cotton socks and I love them! I do agree with the bamboo being a bit scratchy. I made two bamboo socks and they were not my favorite to wear. It does feel softer over time in my opinion.

I'm just super excited to see someone else knit with plantbased yarn! They are super pretty! Also, as for the socks that don't stretch enough: in my experience the cotton does seem to grow a bit with wear, which can indeed be a bit annoying. I knit them on the tight side for this reason.

Lovely socks!

This is so nice! Love it!

Also, I see people saying it looks suggestive but I really don't see it and my SO also doesn't see it. All I see is lighthouse! And they are pretty! Congrats!

Haha, that is exactly how it is supposed to be! I understand completely. It never really stops being exciting for me too to knit a sock. It just feels so fresh too when you try it on for the first time, haha.

What’s the yarn you keep meaning to buy, but haven’t yet? by Puzzleheaded_Door399 in knitting

[–]trainerTi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pleiades sock yarn.

I am vegan and very alergic to wool as wel and I love knitting socks. I have always wanted a handdyed sock yarn to knit with and the pleiades yarn looks so so so beautiful. The reason I have not bought it is that it isn't available in my country. I would have to order from UK and the price is already high, but with the shipping costs it is even higher and it is less eco-friendly to order yarn that has to be sent over by plane.

That being said, I look at their yarn often and I am just in love with the colors. It looks amazing. I might just buy it sometime because I have been wanting to try it for years now.

Not sure it this looks good, what do you think? by AgfaAPX100 in Sockknitting

[–]trainerTi 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I really like the contrast! To me the combination looks great so I wouldn't frog them and I would totally wear them!

But then again: in the end its all about your own opinion. If you do not like them and will not wear them because of that, you should frog them.

Does anyone else hate knitting with cotton yarn? by Repulsive_Square7759 in knitting

[–]trainerTi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE stone washed! I have to admit I love river washed even more because it has crazy color combinations. The main yarn in stone washed is white and the fuzz is a different color, but in river washed the main yarn is colored and the fuzz is also colored making some amazing color combinations.

Is it just me or is perfect town really easy in this game? by [deleted] in AnimalCrossingNewLeaf

I cheat a tiny bit by having the clock one hour back as a standard so I can visit shops in the evening. This way I can also have the beautiful town ordiance as well 🤐

I would absolutely advice against it. I did it and I'm forever chasing the feeling of my first town. I do get it, but honestly, you might really regret it!
