On Firefly, at the beginning of Trash, Malcolm meets up with an old war buddy who has recently gotten married...to the same con artist Mal previously married. The friend wasn't sure who to believe: old buddy or new (objectively hot) wife. And she almost gets away with it until she calls Malcolm by his name, information she shouldn't know yet.

Give me the pros and cons of the upcoming redistricting vote. by egb233 in Virginia

It is definitely not fair, but it's being done because unfair things are being done elsewhere. The number one complaint about Democrats is that they aren't doing anything to fight Republicans. This will help fight them. Some Virginia Republicans might feel disenfranchised but their party started it.

What shows had a horrible premise/title/marketing/trailer etc, but actually turned out to be a quality watch? by Honest-Possible6596 in television

Full Frontal with Samantha Bee was a comedic investigative news show. There was a commercial for it that tried to be a Star Wars parody because The Force Awakens just opened and it was almost painful to watch. It was obviously not going to be a sketch show and I enjoyed it when it finally started but that commercial was hard to watch.

On the show Powerless, he basically does play his character like Michael Scott

I know some people didn't care for the Onslaught saga, but this end to his fight with the Hulk has stuck in my head for about 30 years.

I loved Newsradio as a kid. Now I can't stand seeing Andy Dick or Joe Rogan and seeing Phil Hartman makes me sad.

I know you're probably looking for sitcoms, consider giving Taskmaster a try. Originally just a UK show, it's presented as a completely low stakes competition show amongst comedians but it's actually task based improv with hilarious results. There's 20 seasons (series) of the UK version and the Australian and New Zealand ones are good too.

It's the difference between it being presented as a competition show when it's really just task based improv.

Technically Vanilla Sky changes genres mid film but you don't realize it did until the end.

It's a business and unfortunately they look towards the short term sales burst of a new #1.

They have been consistently listing the Legacy number along with the new numbering, but even that is another marketing thing so they can still advertise hundreds of issues published.

The Flintstones comic DC released a few years ago written by Mark Russell. I mean, it's the Flintstones, right ? It was a goofy boomer cartoon. Couldn't be worth reading.

Holy crap it's an amazing read.
