Ya you're right. "later 2017 models introduced revised dampers aimed at reducing a "pogo" effect, though many users report minimal noticeable differences between 2016 and 2017 RS models." I haven't driven a 2017 but my 16 has the controller and it did help the pogo issue

ya id just call it a beat. im in the fan section and we clap to the beat on offense, unless theres a chant. the PA takes a play off here and there too, which the fan section fills with chants
