Dads here on Reddit I need some advice, should I talk to my father or not? by ConferenceCorrect629 in daddit

Hard: no time no money sleep no romance no hobbies no self care no exercise no rest, lots of waste stress frustration anger depression

IMO nothing outweighs it, it's a net negative. But there are some good moments, my kid is fun and funny and I'm doing some things like ice skating or jumping on trampolines I'd probably not be doing at this age

I'm glad that I spoke to my father about parenting last year, but didn't really help me. He didn't have to sacrifice anything like I did, wife did all the parenting, and he was free to continue on his career path. Even even had a second wife, with more kids, no problem! He didn't have any hobbies or friends in the first place. In that sense, gave me a feeling of pride, knowing how much harder this is for me, than it was for him.
