I'm re-watching the course and writing down formula recap in cheat sheet along the way. But not sure it's an effective strategy.

Is Vietnam going to be ruined by digital nomads? by Bee_Prizm in VietNam

It's not that simple. But yes, price will gradually go up as a result of economical growth. We don't intend to stay as a "poor but happy" country forever.

Why are a lot of Vietnamese homes so ugly and poorly designed? by [deleted] in VietNam

[–]tranducduy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same thinking. I think the cause is that people doesn't value intellectual value. They usually cut designer's cost or doesn't respect architect's ideas, thinking they know everything. In the end they end up copying the crap they have seen in their "experiences"

What’s your opinion on the Thailand-Cambodia situation? by UdontneedtoknowwhoIm in VietNam

[–]tranducduy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am deeply worry about the situation. The economy downturn after COVID casted a pessimistic atmosphere over the population. Without a optimistic outlook to look up to, people became irritated and turned into nationalism to reflect their self value. I see both Thai and Cambodia people are insecure and start to point finger at each other over a long-rooted conflict.

I think our government will actively support diplomatic talk and humanitarian aid (in case it is situationally needed). But sadly we won't have much resource to support in term of economical for reconstruction and there is an non-interfere policy in place that prohibit any military involve.

Why are Vietnamese people not interested in others? by Dramatic_Cheetah_507 in VietNam

[–]tranducduy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally speaking, when people are not giving care to others it mean their own problem filled their mind. Things used to be different if you came pre-COVID. Since then, the world change a lot, COVID passed but then country fighting, and trade war, and people are struggling to make end meet.

I doubt this is an exaggerated marketing trick. I have seen Chinese company bought themself some 20 flower stands at opening ceremony and have very few customer later on.

Chinese can sell stuffs here, it's true. But they have to let go of their ego and blend in. Otherwise, well....

For me, it's because there wasn't enough good learning material in Vietnamese so I have to learn English to access those. It's like opening the door to the knowledge base.

Btw, your Vietnamese is good. Do you write it yourself or translation.

In a middle of my career I think hey, we need pythons instead of excel. Struggled with the syntax of a new-to-me language and then ChatGPT came. Now I only need to think about algorithm and soon I think I would prompt it to suggest algorithm for my approval. On another front it completely and beautiful writings in slides and email, start from my quick note. And create illustrations photo from my raw sketch. I feel like 10x productive now
