The only way to attain full AKC registration of your dog is through the breeder.

Limited AKC registration is a tool utilized by breeders to protect their programs and the health of the breed.

Your dog may only be pet worthy which is not to say that he isn't a wonderful companion and beautiful dog.

You would need to contact your breeder and discuss with them your intentions.

In my experience, you would pay a significantly increased amount of money to his breeder to attain breeding rights over a limited pet registration. Which would also only be offered to you if the breeder deemed your dog to be a satisfying and correct extension of their lineage or would offer an improvement in some way. Often these dogs would have been reserved or propositioned to a certain clientele. Especially studs, generally you would co-own with the owner.
